Mass Effect 3 would work much better as a stand-alone game than it does as the end of a trilogy any way.

You wouldn't feel disappointment at lack of consequences, you'd just love every bit of it.

I guess in that perspective you may be right

A Savegame Creator with all decisions also for persons like Conrad would be easier and faster, then a interactive comic. (please!) Perphabs BW puts in the Gamebox a printed comic that tell the complete story from ME1 and ME2.

And do not forget the Scanner for the Wii U GamePad. I want to scan the Squads. :D

The questions I'm seeing and that I have are

  • Will there be some sort of interactive comic, like what PS3 owners got with ME2?
  • How will the GamePad be integrated into the game? Will the Power/Weapon wheels be mapped to the GamePad?
  • Will DLC that's been released for PC/360/PS3, including the Extended Cut, be available to Wii U players?
  • Is there a reason for this other than EA just wanting even more money?

1 - Most likely, it's the only way people on wii u can get up to speed and make some decisions. Though it would be pointless for ME2 because the only actual main plot decision is useless in ME3.

2 - Seeing how Wii U uses a controller that looks exactly like PS3/Xbox except the right analogue stick and buttons switched around I doubt that would be hard to implement.

3 - I'm going to guess yes, everything up to now has been free so Nintendo shouldn't really mind that. I'm interested to see how they react to when EA inevitably release paid dlc as I've never really seen paid dlc on a Wii console before, just full games from previous nintendo consoles on the market channel.

4 - No.

Don't get me wrong though, I'd prefer PS3 to have Mass 1 and Wii U to get the whole trilogy. I just don't think it will happen.

Mass Effect 2 is my favourite. ^_^

Why would they do that? Seems like they just want to make the most cash they can out of this glitchy half complete mess. Nintendo is a lost cause and completely behind the times. Who knows maybe they will get the complete version of the game without all the freezing, laging, glitching, and game breaking bugs that Mass Effect 3 is known for. After all the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC owners bought the beta version of the game why shouldn't the Wii U owners get the finished product a year later.

Will you get to do the Shepard dance? That is the most important question here. Can you motion control the Shepard dance?

Peter Moore, EA Big Wig, just mentioned on SpikeTV that Mass Effect Infiltrator is coming to Wii U. Is that the App or a derivative of ME3?

A few titles on Wii use paid dlc. The first game was Final Fantasy My Life as a King Christle Chronicles. Ther you could buy new weapons and amors for real money. And some karaoke games.

That would definitely be the iOS game. Interesting. That would at least be extra content for people who don't game on their mobiles.

I checked out SpikeTV and Moore says that "you know you saw Infiltrator. Mass Effect will be there on launch."

It sounds like he just mixed his words up, and that he meant to say ME3, but it's odd that he mixed it up with Infiltrator specifically.

While I already own ME3 the idea of streaming the game to the tablet controller while sitting on the toilet is appealing to me. An interactive comic book is not enough though, especially because Genesis was very poorly done. It didn't mention the cipher or the geth and it contradicted some main plot points of ME1. Whoever wrote that comic did not understand the game sufficiently.

I think ME3 on Wii U should give players the ability to import saves from other platforms. You can already convert saves from PC to Xbox 360 and vice versa using third party software, so I don't understand why a feature like that wasn't in ME3 to begin with. If Origin on PC allows us to store ME2 saves to the Origin cloud we could use Wii U to access this if our Origin account is linked to Wii U. This would actually make Origin somewhat useful.

Hmm, the touchscreen in the controller could be rather useful, have the radar, map, and the power select and weapon select on it.

Good to hear Nintendo is joining us, even if they can't enjoy the entire story.
But If you haven't seen the way Nintendo did the online for the Wii and the DS:
Each game (not console) had a randomly generated 12 digit Friend code. Dead serious.

If they keep that, can you imagine how difficult it will be to keep track of a user's stats?
Hopefully, you guys at BioWare will have them use a BSN account ID to log in instead.

I doubt they're sticking with friend codes. How do they handle online gameplay on 3DS?

The 3DS used friend codes.

That's troubling.

Edit: I just looked it up and it's a friend code per 3DS, not per game. That's not quite as annoying.

Hmmm...they should have made it a trilogy edition. That would have really made people want to buy it.

Pretty much works just like an account, yeah. I thought I put that in the post, with a quote too. I guess I'm too stupid. :?

Well, I don't think this is such a bad thing. I remember all the outrage (read: butthurt) when ME2 finally came to PS3. As a PS3 owner, I was pleased-as-punch. I still think ME3 was a fantastic game -got a little burned by the ending- but I think it's awesome that more gamers can get the chance to play!

Good news but how will Wii U owners get up to speed on what happened in the previous two games?
