I have not tried this one yet, but it is on my to-do list, inspired by someone's post in the "Battle Cries" thread a couple weeks ago.

The Real Quaid
Salarian Engineer

Energy Drain - 1, 2, 3 (seems the least in keeping with the actual real Quaid; if you have and don't mind burning a respec card, you could skip this and do 6 Incinerate, instead)
Decoy - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Durability, 5 - Shock, 6 - Exploding Decoy (yes I know Quaid's decoy didn't actually do any such thing, but I'm sure he would have loved it if it could)
Incinerate - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Damage, 5 - Burning Damage (Again, Quaid didn't have this ability, but it would fit the character, I think.  If you opt to respec out of ED, I would probably go with Armor Damage for 6)
Salarian Operative - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Damage & Capacity, Power Damage, Weapon Damage
Fitness - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Durability, 5 - Shield Recharge, 6 - Fitness Expert

For weapons, your Assault Rifle of choice.  Avenger or Vindicator seem like the most similar to the guns used in the movie.  I'd probably throw on Barrel and Stability.

I think that person was me lol.
To use this build in full effect, you must play on Firebase Reactor and have a teammate say: "Quaid... start the reactor!"

You know, I was just thinking - the Cerberus Troopers kind of sound like Richter when he's shouting - the Cerberus Troopers already comment when someone Cloaks - How awesome would it be if, when you used Decoy, Cerberus Troopers shouted, "He's got a hologram!"

That would be awesome. It would be more awesome if new DLC lets us play on Mars.

Absolutely.  I believe I commented on your Battle Cries post that I would have nerd-gasmed in SP if Hackett had said "Get your **** to Mars!"

UrdnotWrex12322 suggested this Turian Sentinel build to me based on my manifest. Not sure how off-the-wall it is given that Turian Sentinel builds vary a lot anyway, but I fleshed it out a bit and here it is:

6/4/6/6/4
Tech Armor is spec'd the way you want, but I recommend maximizing DR and taking that power damage bonus.
Overload is the usual spec, multi-hit + stun organics.
For Turian Veteran, take the stability + damage bonuses, plus the headshot damage bonus.
For Fitness, take health+shields. This guy needs 'em, badly.

This way, he can land consistent headshots with weapons that normally can't do that due to recoil, which is what makes the Turian unique. The original build idea was to give him a Hornet, which will keep your recharge bonus high and still give you decent damage. Put a scope + heat sink on it and always go for headshots; the stability bonus makes the recoil low enough to put a lot of rounds into their heads, which does pretty good damage, plus you've got Overload to keep them all stunned.

Add in a stability consumable and the recoil isn't even noticeable. For the most part it's even accurate enough to shoot through the Guardian shield slot, but if you find yourself having trouble with this take a Predator or Phalanx with piercing + extended mag to deal with them, and it'll help against armor.

He's mediocre against boss enemies, but excels at killing anything else regardless of faction. Incendiary Ammo also helps to deal with armor. Be sure to line up headshots as much as possible or else this build doesn't work.

I don't have a Harrier yet, but I imagine it would also work well with this build.

Another one I haven't tried yet (but I will...)

Mordin Takes Up Spearfishing Instead Of Seashell Research
With a little bit of "Redneck Fishing" thrown in

Tactical Cloak: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Damage, 5 - Recharge Speed, 6 - Sniper Damage
Energy Drain: 0
Proximity Mine: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Damage, 5 - Slow, 6 - Damage (Redneck Fishing)
Salarian Operative: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Damage & Capacity, 5 - Headshots, 6 - Sniper Rifles
Fitness: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Durability, 5 - Shield Recharge, 6 - Fitness Expert

Weapon: Kishock, of course, with Scope and your choice of Barrel or Pierce

Happy Spearfishing!

This is fantastic  :o

I once had an idea for a whole new class along the same lines...
it'd have to be a Human Soldier, but he'd have Decoy and Marksman. Not sure about a third power... any ideas?

It can slow down a threat for you to cloak, pop an ammo pack or high-tail it to an ammo crate.

In keeping with today's apparent movie theme (not only on this thread), I present:

Sergeant Murtaugh (since we can't have Bubin until they give us Elcor :()

Human Male Soldier

Adrenaline Rush: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Hardening, 5 - Duration, 6 - Shield Boost (will be necessary - see Fitness)
Concussive Shot: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Force & Damage, 5 - Recharge Speed, 6 - Amplification
Frag Grenade: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Damage, 5 - Bleed Damage, 6 - Armor-Piercing
Alliance Training: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Weapon Damage, 5 - Headshots
Fitness: 1, 2, 3 (Gettin' too old for this ****!)

Weapons:
Carnifex (6-round clip...)
Graal ("Nailed 'em both")

In also keeping with that theme:

Jayne Cobb

Human Male Soldier

Leave out Alliance Training because he didn't side with the Alliance, of course. Max the others; pretend Concussive Shot is a throwing knife. Special rule, he spawns without grenades ("Boy, it sure would be nice if we had some grenades, don't you think?").
Also, he ignores the 2-weapon limit and can take in all 5 if he wants ("Jayne, how many weapons you plan on bringing? You only got the two arms." "I just get excitable as to choice- like to have my options open.")
He'll typically wield any combination of the following:
Talon - they loved revolvers on that show
Hurricane - Vaguely resembles that SMG he had when they rob the bank early on in the movie
Indra/Valiant - Vera, of course!
Revenant - Closest thing to that LMG he used when they were fighting the reavers near the end of the movie
Widow - In one of the episodes he uses a bolt-action sniper rifle, this can be that

And he always fights Reapers, because when he was told what enemy options there were he misheard.

Ha!

Obviously we tend to think along the same lines...

Reapers Have Taken A Toll On Our Ranks, So Even Pilots Have To Go To The Front Lines
Human Male Soldier

Adrenaline Rush - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Hardening, 5 - Duration, 6 - Shield Boost
Concussive Shot - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Force & Damage, 5 - Shatter, 6 - Shredder
Frag Grenade - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Damage, 5 - Bleed Damage, 6 - Armor-Piercing
Alliance Training - 1, 2, 3, 4 - Weapon Damage, 5 - Power Damage, 6 - Weapon Damage
Fitness - 0!

Weapon - Avenger

Gear - Hat

I really like this by the way.  He deserves a little more tribute than a bizarre, if powerful, "shotgun".

How about "The Fisherman"?

Batarian Sentinel with the Net, Armor, Enforcer and Fitness (Melee) maxed out (No Shockwave) and using the Kishock Harpoon gun only.

Net all of your enemies, then Heavy Melee to Kill in close quarters or Harpoon the ones that are far off.

Not an easy build and will not top the Leaderboards. But it is pretty fun and definitely unique!

I like it.  Can probably take a few more hits than my "Mordin the Redneck Spearfisherman" earlier in the thread.

I guess how I play my vorcha soldier would count...

Bloodlust 6 (regen, weapon damage, regen)
Flamer 0
Carnage 6 (damage, recharge, damage)
Resilience 6 (capacity, damage, damage)
Fitness 6 (health, martial artist, health)

Weapon: Talon (AP and barrel)
Equipment: Cryo Ammo (at least rank 2, that's Important), pistol rail amp, adrenaline module, pistol amp

Funny thing is here, talon's rate of fire matches carnage's cooldown perfectly, meaning you can reload cancel with carnage each and every time you empty a talon clip. So, unload your talon then reload cancel with carnage against a frozen enemy in the pack. That triggers a cryo explosion, then you charge in finish damaged and frozen enemies left with melee.

Interesting.  Vso was my first rebellion character, (and I got him out of a veteran pack) but I don't have the Talon yet.

The Submission Net is key, lets you catch different kinds of fish at different ranges. Net--> Harpoon to the Head, Net--> Heavy Melee to the Face. Good times!
