I've started a new playthrough using Mhairi in the Noble Human origin.  I created a morph of her and put it in the override folder so my character looks like her, but now I'd like to be able to use her voice from Awakenings to enhance the "experience". I used the "Change Your Voice" mod in Awakenings and used the "say" command to verify that she has a pretty complete voice set.

I tried copying her voice files to the Origins folder, but it didn't work. Then I tried copying the files to the override folder, but that didn't work either. Was wondering if anybody knows how I might be able to do this...if it can be done at all. Thanks for your help.

From what I can tell, voice sets are based on conversation files prefixed with "ss_" that are then attached to the toolset's "character" files (which then attach to the character in question). I'm not familiar with the change voice mod and how it works, but I suspect you'll at least need to create the voice set conversation file and rename the voice files to match the new string IDs.

Edit: Still haven't found the change voice mod, but if you open your save game in the toolset you can change the PC's voice set. The file used appears to be the conversation file (the one prefixed with "ss_"), so once you've got the voice set conversation working and in your override folder I suspect you could just edit your save game to make the PC use the new voice set.

I tried what you said...loaded the saved game and used the "say 1" command and she said, "For the Wardens!" :) Excellent, thank you so much for your help...now it's time to go kill some darkspawn.

Oops, spoke too soon...I saved the game and when I reloaded it, she no longer speaks. Used the toolset and it's still set as "ss_mhairi"...changed her voice set to "wise" using mod...saved game...went back into toolset and changed it to "ss_mhairi"...loaded saved game and she's "speechless" once again. Back to the drawing table, I guess...
