I have Zevran's approval at almost 90% (friendship route) but I feel I haven't got to know him at all. I had a cautious peek at his wiki site and apparently he has a personal quest or some such that opens once he talks about some sort of past mission, but I haven't got anything of the sort, and I've already set off to Landsmeet. He seems like a really agreeable fellow despite the life he leads and it's kind of a bummer. Can I still hope to hear more from him? I gave gim the Dalish Gloves and Antivan Boots and pretty much all other char specific gifts I could find.

You're supposed have an encounter with some of his old 'friends' during the quests in Denerim that lead you to the Landsmeet event. That's his personal quest.
