Hope they'll fix the ending :D

LOL

Why would they bother, they just want to sell some more copies of the game, i'm much more worried on when the heck EC will be up, wanna see what they pull up to try make us "understand" what they call artisitic integrity.

Well I've never been a fan of the whole 'best point to jump into the series' bit, mainly because it isn't, but that's neither here nor there.

Since this is coming out so late, it probably has the EC built in. If not, or if the EC fails to please, then BW is just spreading the pain to a new audience. The MP DLC will also probably be there, we can expect a whole bunch of kooky controls and gimmicks added because of the kooky and gimmicky controller. I don't care, I don't play Nintendo.

Gosh, it's just one of those things you don't expect. ME and Nintendo. I'm not angry nor am I particularly surprised, it's just something I can't really fathom right now.

I wish I had started with ME3. AT least then I wouldn't have gotten the silly idea in my head that I could RP Shepard and he could pick if he was friends with someone or not.

If I startet with ME3 I wouldn't care about the game after finishing it.

This thread is for diascussing the Wii U announce. ANYONE who wants to continue to hate on the endings, name call BioWare and bring that here will be prevented form posting on the forums for taking this thread off topic.

You are welcome to speculate on what content may or may not be included, how the controller will work, when it will arrive, etc but ANY further belittling of ME3 as a product here will get you banned for at least 24 hours.

If you do not like ME3 as it is currently I suggest you take a break from the BSN until we discuss the Extended Cut or other DLC.

There will be no warnings on this. Stay on topic. If you hate, you are welcome to leave.

I wonder if the Wii U version is going to differentiate itself from the PS3/360/PC versions or is it just going to essentially be a port.

That is a very interesting announcement, I expect the textures will get even more downgraded because of the hardware being used so I like to see how this turns out tech wise.
I wonder if it will come with some of the dlc already like the expected extended cut .

If Mass Effect 3 is coming to the wii u they better have the interactive comics for ME 1 and ME 2, with FULL decisions. It would seriously suck to play ME3 with the default decisions. I expect even the little decisions to be evident in ME3. ie) Wrex with his family armor, Captain Kirrahe survival, ect these small influences make a huge impact on ME3. And up the graphics in comparison to the wii u tech. Otherwise this port is pointless and not worth the buy. Reviewers would just pick this port apart if not handled correctly as demonstrated by other titles ported poorly. Include all the DLC too.

I'm...Honestly confused.

Here's my issue:
Some of Mass Effect 3's content is only available to Mass Effect 1 and 2 imports. This includes sidequests, characters, and numerous other things I won't even get into. The game won't be fun without the imports.

I understand all the stuff about the game tailoring itself for non-importers. I understand how people who haven't played the game can be brought up to speed. What I don't get is the content exclusion.

I love Mass Effect 3, I hope I love the Wii U, but they're not gonna work together. We should get some app for it like we got for the iOS. A spin-off. Something to contribute to War Assets.

But right now Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U looks...Not very promising.

I'll wait for them to announce what the new features are gonna be, but...We'll see.

I'm interested in knowing how they would deal with the issue of War Assets. Can the Wii U handle multiplayer? This coming from someone who hasn't really played online multiplayer on the Wii

As much as I love the Mass Effect setting, the games are -nothing- without playing through previous entries.

It's why I never ever considered getting it for Playstation.

It's a likely assumption. Games that were created for the Wii as well as the other consoles (PC, 360 and PS3) have downgraded graphics. The Wii wasn't designed to handle the same graphics as the other consoles.

This move is a bit curious b/c of that issue.  I'm surprised Nintendo would release a new console that can allegedly compete with the next gen consoles, yet the first thing they do is port games from aging consoles.  To me, I would've guessed new releases that showcase the new tech, not old games.  Notwithstanding, glad ME3 will be enjoyed by others.

Nintendo isn’t known to make powerful consoles hardware wise, but I’m only stating this purely because other past consoles nearly always lack enough RAM.

To be honest, a big part of me wanted to get them on PC (I have them on Xbox 360) as I wanted to experiment with modding them to see how possible it is to add in new missions and the like. However, the inclusion of Origin for Mass Effect 3 stopped that, as did the fact that there are no settings for controller support.. which is frankly insane considering the console versions have it.

Yeah, I would have preferred a spin-off too. ME3 will almost be a year old already when it comes out. And there will be many people who already bought it on sale for other platforms before the WiiU version comes out. It really has to add a whole bunch in order to compete with a 10 euro pc version...

Err... the WiiU looks better than any current console. Why would they need to downgrade anything?

Awww...gotta LOVE how moderators here avoid doing their job by telling people to leave or simply pressing the ban button. ¬¬

Anyway,  if we're posting on Mass Effect 3 forum on BSN is because we're old enough to actually be a bit mature. Heck, the game is rated M for "Mature"! so there shouldn't be kiddies here roaming around...

...which brings me to the question: will this Wii-U Mass Effect REALLY BE MASS EFFECT 3?

I wonder because the game is rated M and the Wii-U console is aimed towards family, like the Wii. I know, there are a few M games for the Wii too, but you can count them with your fingers at most, so I wonder if the Wii-U version will be a "toned down" version (removing the romance, blood and "gory" stuff) to actually reach a broader "family" audience or just a full port.

Mmm...interesting how things develops in EA headquarters. I only hopeEA has a team dedicated to port these games and not move resources from the EC or other DLC towards the Wii-U port.
