People should never tech burst someone BE setup. only if the team is going all tech and tehc burst each other. I

Regardless, whenever there's an Engineer in the party, I load up with either Disruptor Ammo, or Incendiary Ammo (for Flame Bursts) to help the Engineer(s).

Something people don't seem to realize: TB's don't actually ruin BEs. They just require a second detonator.
i.e. Warp -> Overload -> Throw (TB) -> Throw (BE).
It can effectively do more damage and stun enemies/lower shields before the BE goes off. It's really not that bad.
Plus, that opinion might be a tad selfish, since other classes rely on tech bursts to thrive. It'd be like me, playing as an Engineer, trying to convince you that you should stop BEing things because I'm trying to TB them. A smart tech burst player obviously won't interrupt your banshee example, so that has nothing to do with tech bursts specifically. You can't fix stupid, no matter what class they're running.

i have seen people saying that it's ping dependent somehow, so you have to be the host.

i know you cna't fix stupid but why does biotics get exploded with tech. it goes against all the class stuff. when i have a teammate being picked up by a warped banshee and i'm like 1 throw and i save him and i throw then nothing cause it was tech bursted and the banshee kills them i'm like WTF people. anyway it is kinda selfish in a way but for the good of te team. and i'll try what your saying but i haven't see it work cause it goes

BEs are more effective overall then TBs and more importantly stagger and knock back buying you precious time. TBs gets people killed while BEs save people. 1 person shouldn't take an enginner knowing eveyrone else is biotics then ruin all the biotics. thats ebing selfish and they rack up points and think they pulled their weight when you fail the mission. i'd be ahppy if TBs were changed to only go over teck powers so overload and ED set each other off like warp and reave

Tech Bursts are cool and all, but many Biotic Explosion characters are squishy and depend on the stagger of Biotic Explosions. Having to wait for your detonater power to cool down to get a stagger can mean the difference between life and death. And there are few smart Biotic Explosion players (they don't realize when someone else is detonating their powers to help them) and even fewer smart tech players. So yes, most tech players do get in the way of Biotic Explosioning Banshees.

You might not be noticing because this will change your BE to a TB, and the engineer will get the credit for the kill, so it's a little bit harder to notice without the KABOOM and whatnot.

I will overload anytime there are barriers/shields, regardless, as I have double damage overload against those, and i can follow it almost immediately with an incinerate for a TB for even more shield/barrier damage. Once the shields/barriers go down, I only go for overload if there is a group AND there isn't a biotic capable of self detonating or a pair who are actually working together and then its just spam incinerate and /lol. When/IF I ever see 3 Biotics, I change to a biotic for that very reason, but guess how often that is? about 1 game in 20+, the rest are filled with 1-2 INFs and filler(s). Even then, for the Engy to ruin everything, there would have to be 2 reave only biotics and a single throw/warp AND the engy would have to target the same target as the throw/warp AND use only overload. To take this stance as a reason why engineers are baddies would be the same as a sniper INF saying BE's are bad because they shake things, and throw/CS are bad becase they make the target move and screw up their aim. It makes the room reek like someone has a thing against said class because they dont make them get a bigger epeen at the end of a match. Someone playing a support engineer ISN'T going for points, they are there to strip shields/barriers, and to reduce armor of the baddies, for the team. A support engineer will sit at 3rd or 4th on the score board when they are pulling their weight simply because they rarely get a kill, but have 75 assists by wave 6-7.
Maybe you have just had a bad experience with a couple GE's that spammed overload non-stop with a 200% CDR setup, but that doesn't make it all-right to insult the entire class and tell them to stop playing because it isn't compatible with YOUR playstyle. As a general rule, Engineers won't be spamming overload non-stop, expecially if they are actually a gold level player (unless its a GE with a flamer turret/overload spec and 180%+ CDR build, but thats only because thats the only thing he can do).
And in all this ranting, I have done nothing but detract from the purpose of the thread.
To reiterate, are Tech Bursts broken right now, or is it just me? And not just since 1.03, I've been having issues for ~2 weeks, its just worse/more noticable now that Geth Hunters are almost stagger/stun immune and they just roll over top of me like I'm made of butter, and now that Primes can't be head shot and drop multiple turrets on top of you while shooting you through walls.
I never said that. I said for the good of the team you need to know when not to spam powers. if your gonna be the only tech in a biotic party use overload on people who aren't already warped i have an issue with enginners tehc burtsing eveyrhting for points and getting everyone killed in the process then ****ing in the lobby like they were carrying the team when they are the reason we lost despite the higher points. If i'm a lone engineer in a biotic party I only overload people who aren't warped or reaved and if eveyrone is getting warped or reaved i just use my gun and don't use my tech power. it sucks sometimes having a power to use and not using it but its for the good of the team. i don't care if i'm 1st or last in points as long as i was a team player and we win. luckily i've friended a bunch of people i like playing with and don't have issues alot but we'll go full biotic and open the lobby for a 4th if we don't ahve one and the 4th random guy ruins it. I found it easier to play with 3 people then letting a random in alot of the time because of this. sometimes we like challanges and we'll all take level 1s with predators into a silver. sometimes we'll go all blood pack, sometimes we'll go all tech and sometimes all biotic. the thing is we do it as a team
