But as to this: who cares, the Wii-U will shoehorn in its motion control and tablet, and it will be awful.

Oh, and have fun enjoying some of the finer features of the series, new playerbase. What kind of game will they be getting without being to make the base decisions from the first two games? Oh right, everyone is dead and the ones who are alive are giant jerks.
Wreav's ruling the Krogans, most of the crew from Me2 is dead....
Good start.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if they don't even let you just pick Ashley/Kaidan and instead force the "Numerous" option for casualty experience on new games.
At least they'll have a full memorial wall at the start of the game so they know just how much they suck playing the game on that platform...

Maybe because this Wii U will be out next season and Mass Effect 3 is one of the best sellers of this year, so, maybe, I'm saying maybe, it's the best game to push the sales?
Is it hard to understand?
Yeah: except all those big sales numbers were from us loyal ME nerds pre-ordering, and now we know it sucks, word of mouth has gotten arround.

(There's a car alarm going off somewhere whenever someone says Wii-U.)

Post launch sales doubled, maybe tripled preorders. And now YOU know the end sucks. There's a lot of people loving the entire game. Then there's another group that hates the whole game; then there's a bunch of people who don't like the ending, but didn't let it change their opinion on the story, before the end. Then there's a lot of people waiting for the EC. And what about those who love the Multiplayer?
Oh, why are Nintendo launching their console with other sequels, like Assassin's Creed 3, darksiders 2, Pikmin 3 (what is that?)? Assassin's Creed III will have some connection with its predecessors, just like ME3.

Assassins creed is linier, it doesn't save-import. ANd you say that as if it matters what number is on the end of a pikmin game.

I should add, I have a Wii and am still a fan of the series despite all the pouting about the end, and I still never see myself buying this game.

Who is buying this game? Fans have already played on other platforms. Newcomers aren't likely to hop into the third game of a trilogy...especially knowing they will never have access to the other games on Wii.

Apparently EA and Bioware think they will. We ended up with Vega for that very reason.

As it was announed today, ME3 is ocmnig to the Wii-U. ME and ME2 are not coming out for it however. This was similar issue with ME2 for the PS3. ALot of people felt ME didn't really mean anything in ME2 as alot of things where ignored or not included and PS3 users missed alot of stuff. Now in ME3 we have ME2 not really mattering and with only Garrus and Tali returing who could die and past choices not really making a true diffrence. IS this why Bioware made ME3 so standalone or did they just not care?
ME3 already ignores both ME1 and ME2 for the most part, and seems to be designed to be a stand alone game, while also capping Shepard's story as an aside, in addition to testing how well it will do as an action game versus rather than being mostly a roleplaying game like the previous two games...so this move kinda makes sense. Kinda.

As a gamer and game designer, I can definitely see how the tablet can improve upon the experience. The Wii U will not shoehorn anything in.LucasShark wrote...
Ugh.... I litterally don't have words for how much I despise people who thought it was a good idea to jump into a series 2/3rds the way through... More so for those on the Bioware team who put them over core fans who have bought all 3.

I can't wait until I'll be able to switch my and my squadmates weapons on the touch screen. I can't wait until I'll be able to access my, and my squadmates powers without bringing up that scroll wheel. I can't wait until I'll be able to give better, more exact commands to my squad mates.
Also, I have slighly bad eyesight, so I'll love to read the codex and messages on my tablet, rather than on my TV. That is a solution to an actual problem.

I read stupid 3 times a troll accusation and a vague let me google that for you. Very impressive.
Here's what I read of Microsoft E3.
Perhaps the announcement
would've carried a bit more weight were these not things you can do, in
one fashion or another, already through a variety of apps.
But the message of the
press event was pretty clear - the next year will be about getting the
most out of the equipment you already own.
