Not really. It took massive amounts of coding on Epic Games' end to get the Unreal Engine working on Wii U...but porting Mass Effect to Wii U shouldn't be too difficult..

Especially since the Wii U's hardware is basically a jacked up 360.

It took more effort to get Mass Effect on to the PS3 since its architecture is very different from the 360's. Yet they still released 3 major single player DLC expansions when they were porting it.

Nobody believes what is said at E3, especially from bioware. I have no doubt this is why the EC is taking forever. And I give this thread another 2 hours before Priestly locks it like all the other ones talking about the Wii U game.

Absolutely ridiculous.

EC is taking this long because they're taking it seriously, NOT because they've all secretly been working on the Wii-U version.

It's not even been confirmed BioWare are doing the porting. EA own studios. Lots of studios. Odds are that it'll get handed off to someone with Nintendo experience to port.

Is everything outside of the EC a plot to screw with us now?

So it would seem. Apparently unless every single person in Bioware, including the janitor, his wife, and their pet tortoise Alan are slaving night and day on the EC, then they clearly haven't got their priorities straight.

Come on people. A little realism, please.

MYAAAH.

Seriously guys, the people at Bioware are people not mustache twirling villains tying women to railroad tracks.

If they hated our guts they wouldn't be spending THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of dollars and five months of their lives to give you something for free.

To be fair Taboo, they might be evil, but nobody called them smart.

I'd like to think the Wii U port won't impact the quality of the EC, but with Bioware/EA these days, who knows?

To Op: you do know that they don't need voice actors for a port. Just like the mp, I sure its a different team working on this. I'm sure they're not taking anyone away from E.C.

Port to Wii U is most definitely not what is taking so long for the EC. I think Bioware is doing everything necessary to attempt to make it successful. However, I am bummed that they announced that there would be no news on EC and instead announced this....

Wouldn't the ME3 romance scenes be way more non-G-rated that Nintendo's usual fare?

Though I have to admit, having the characters rendered as Wii-type characters would be a sick bit of hilarity...

yup this is what the devs have been doing when they said they had all the voice actors come back.

it seems there all working on the epic fail console Wii U (fail because its an oversized hunk of plastic tablet).

this means they have delayed an F0LOAD of content and also means why they delayed the EC untill the summer.

yeah really ........ they said ours EC was priority 1 which was a load of poop.

goes to show ya were NOTHING to them.

also saying at E3 they were working on the wii-u version of ME3 since the start of the year  doesnt help, also did i hear a few stabs at us in the interview.

wow jeeze thanks -_-

Could be worse. I mean you could be getting Arkham City Armored Edition on a machine nobody cares about as opposed to Arkham City DLC that isn't complete garbage on the machines you do.

The difference though is that if Batman Wii has even minimal upgrades to the 360/PS3 version, people will have a reason to buy it.

With ME3Wii however, a straight port with no way of importing decisions or changes to the game at all gives me no reason to purchase it. I would have much more confidence in an ME1 remake with enhanced graphics/combat (although I know this is impossible because of MS copyrights and whatnot).

Who does EA expect to buy a straight port of the third game in a trilogy that's biggest driving force is the decisions made in the first two games?

Also, OP is dumb. kthx

I was referring more to the Wii-U's 3 or so potential controller input systems.

The only thing this port shows is that BioWare firmly believes that the ending does not (as someone said) cripple the entire series. Which is a great thing since all the free Multiplayer DLCs started to worry me, I was afraid they could drop the ball and move on.

But releasing ME3 on Wii-U means they still care about the franchies. If anything, this gives me even more hope about the EC.

I honestly doubt this delayed there DLC schedule. They've been planning a Wii U version for a while. If anything this ending fiasco delayed it more.

And alas another reason why our past choices were so utterly meaningless; the Wii-U didn't even get ME2 like the PS3 did.

The ME3 for WiiU will be the exact same game we got for the other consoles, except they will get ****ed over, because they won't have a save import - a problem critisized by the PS3 community about ME2 as well, but guess what? ME3 was the best part to enter the series - so said Bioware anyways.

And FYI, the EC is in the works, and there is a separate team working on it than the WiiU port. If you had listened to the announcement carefully, you would have caught that.

This thread has no point.
