The Harrier change was supposed to go in last week but it was delayed. The weight scaling at higher levels was too high compared to other weapons, so this wasn't really meant as a nerf.

We are looking at the Krysae balance closely and will probably have some changes for it soon.

Serious question.  Do you ever "look at" Tactical Cloak balance?

You know what I find strange? How few people understand what a sliding scale is.

Please give the Harrier more spare ammo.

If you do decide with the krysae you should only nerf it on infiltrators. On other classes it's a great balanced weapon. Please do not turn it into another falcon or make it really heavy so we can't use it on the normal classes.

Someone suggested turning it into an assault rifle so it doesn't benefit from cloaks 40% damage boost, that is a great suggestion.

Yes, because your suggestion is entirely logical; Weapons switch classes all the time.
I went into a pug, TS with a Krysae, AJ with a Krysae, PA with a Krysae, hardly any powers the whole time, we got a full extraction on Gold very easily.

I've used it enough to say that Krysae itself is probably a bit overpowered on its own, mainly due to its proximity detonation that doesn't even require you to hit your target and its rather large AOE radius, but when it's used with Infiltrators it goes from GPS-level kind of overpowered to outright obscene.  Presently the issue is 80% TC and 20% Krysae.  It would seem to me the 80% should be a higher priority, but I'm pretty sure BW is just going to nerf the 20% into the ground, leaving the 80% untouched (because Tactical Cloak is apparently sacrosanct or something).

Snorlax,

I see that you are on the 360 also, we should play sometime. We can two man gold, K.

Sure, add me... That last post wasn't a jab by the way, just a guess. Krysae doesn't have that good dps on non infiltrators so 4 people using it without cloak should take a little while if you're not spamming powers.

I'll send you a request.

I'm don't want a breaking of the Krysae, I just think a little tweaking is needed. Bioware balances the guns in MP very well IMO. Originally the wraith, Indra, hurricane, saber, talon all sucked but now the are good. As far as nerfs go the Paladin is still good. I trust Bioware to improve the overall experience of the Krysae.

Yes, tactical cloak makes every weapon better, not just the Krysae. The claymore and Reageer are equally impressive out of cloak. I'm not oppossed to a slight TC nerf but I do find it ironic that some ask for buffs on adrenaline rush when they are not all that different.

The harrier was given a slight nerf when it was the one that was perfect and the other 2 weapons were more likely candidates.

Damn that's lame.  I haven't even unlocked it yet.  Why the **** they have to nerf one of the only good assault rifles that's ULTRA RARE?

I only have it at 1, and it doesn't apply to level 1. It really only matters at the higher levels and I think it is going to be fine. Could use a touch more ammo capacity though.

Who else thought Ex-Cerberus was going to get a bunch of buffs this week, like more health or Smash invulnerability frames or double range? I think the community agrees they're weak compared to existing Vanguards/Adepts.

since they nerfed the damn things weight for no reason they should buff the harriers spare ammo to compensate =/

Also, how come the weight scaling on high levels on the Harrier is too high compared to other weapons, but not on the 4 other weapons that have the exact same weight range as the pre-nerf Harrier?

Of course they would nerf my favorite AR (the harrier) the day after I finally unlock it!!!

Oh well....no biggie really. I mean, it's not like I'm ever going to see level X with it anyway...

The servers will probably be offline by the time I'd get it to level X...lol

So what happens when people actually do get the level X? Then we can admit it was a nerf? What dumb logic.

I honestly have no faith left in Bioware currently. Changes like these, while plausible, neglect the real issues that need balancing. I suppose there were not enough speed run videos showing how balanced the Krysae is currently.[/sarcasm]

Wow. You guys had been doing so well in regards to balancing the game. And instead of balancing any of the new stuff, you just weaken the only particularly good AR. And here a lot of us were hoping for something to make the ExCerb guys not feel like a joke. :(

Oh well. At least they're working towards making the Eagle a viable gun.

After these new changes I think it's pretty safe to assume the people doing the balancing don't actually play their own game, I'm guessing they are playing yatzi and using dice throws to decide what gets balanced and what doesn't.

Also this.

Why nerf the N7 Harrier?

Thirded.  Though eagle buff is justified.  One more buff and it will be worth using.

I don't have the Harrier yet, but it does not look like much of a nerf. You all really do like to whine, about everything, kind of pathetic.

This is a weird bit of balancing. To nerf the Harrier when it should get an ammo buff instead. It almost feels like Bioware is trying to make most of the ultra-rare weapons inferior to or just marginally better than the rare weapons. The Harrier is the only ultra-rare weapon I use and the only ultra-rare I am trying to level up. Pre-Rebellion, I had amassed almost 5 mio of credits because I had maxed my rares and am not interested in the ultra-rares. While the Harrier is still my ultra-rare weapon of choice, the inclination to level it up has just diminished.

Thanks Bioware!
