Hey Guys, I don't know how many of you guys are really into ME3 and bought all three Normandy Ships like I did.. O.o But I wanted to share with you with what I feel the normandy should look like. When I received my SR2 Normandy model that I bought through EA, I was a bit disapointed in the paint quality. Don't get me wrong, the model is BEAUTIFULLY detailed, however the "hand painted" completely ruined it.. Here's a picture before, and after. Let me know what you guys think. It's not 100% perfect because I had to paint around the decals unfortunately.. You can't take dried decals off a model without tearing them.. Also couldn't find any I could get online.. =(

Before me painting the model, this is how it arived:

How the parts weren't fully painted and looked very rushed.

This is what it looked AFTER I repainted and patched it up. Like I said, it isn't absolutely perfect, because I couldn't remove the decals to be able to redue the whole thing =(

And lastly...

What do you guys think? I love ME3, I hope Mass effect considers possibly selling Modeling kits, or even give the option to paint them ourselves! If so, I would totally do so! Would have used spray gun and once finished, put a shinny gloss over it to look like the real deal!

Wait, what?!

I've seen better paint jobs from kindergarteners using their fingers.

That is totally unacceptable. You should have returned it and demanded a refund.

Thus, This is why I repainted this. Looking at reviews from everywhere, I had the better end of what most have gotten. It was fun painting it though.. I wish I could just buy the ship without it being painted, and the decals included so I can do myself... If Not, I would like a garentee paintjob that looks like how it's advertised....

Bioware, let us have the option to paint em ourselves please! =-(

I'll be posting some more pictures of other things I worked on. Another being the ship right behind the one that's in the picture. The Cerberus theme ship came in A LOT better quality than the previous ship. However there were a couple of parts that the painter either missed, or just didn't bother =-P

It's like 35 bucks... I'm hoping they won't screw up the premium limited edition one that's all silver, or I will rage.

That just made me sad... Wow, way to bring up the worst ending in the last 3 minute ending of ME3! ...

You shouldn't be sad. You made Anderson proud.

Great repaint. I have both the Cerberus and alliance one. The alliance one has an awfull paintjob and several flaws on the model itself (rough edges, wonky engines and so on) while the cerberus one is quasi perfect.

Nothing like being back from vacation! ...

Anyways, I ended up touching up some of the things on the cerberus model. Though, it was a MUCH BETTER paint job than the other, there were a couple of "Opps, oh well" spots on the model. I'll post a picture tonight. Though I don't have a before picture. :D
