Future Romance Options

Also, ditto on the romance running out before the end of the game. Sigh. I wish there were more random conversations triggered when you get back to camp after you reach the love status, maybe asking about your opinion, history, etc., as someone else mentioned.

that is debateable in real life.. in games its 100% true.
and struggling with a issue you trouble is not making you weak. not doing so is!
neverless.. I loved the Viconia char. and I also loved that it wasnt so easy getting to her! that whole romance was somehow.. rewarding.
its easier to get a romance these days than to screw it! to bad.
so, "strong chars" for dating?
I think Jade Empire made a good deal there.
Also the KOTOR picks where fine.
PS: even while not dating.. I really like the development of Sten, even when it was easy to achieve.. it is very well made

I liked how the Leliana romance took a long time to develop so you weren't sure it was going to ever happen or not.
I am insatiable as far as the amount of romance content I would want... so unless it is metered somehow ... you get a set number of things for each location you complete in the game ... it seems to run out early for me.
Dragon Age is like a great adventure movie, and adventure movies always seem to have a romance that advances along with the plot -- they naturally go together, like ... um... Morrigan and "Full of questions, aren't we?"

Also, on Cullen: part of the romance could be either him turning you against the mages or the mage PC helping him deal with that trauma.

Romance is big with SOME of us.... I suppose Bioware has a good sense of how broad the appeal is and that influences how much resources they are able to devote to it...

Although for you female players out there, I agree there should be more male romance options. It's always either the scoundrel with emotional problems, or the joking complainer who is actually strong (just play BG2, KOTOR, Mass Effect, or look at Zevran or Alistair. You'll see what I mean).

This is for all posters to remember:
We the 'roleplayers' are merely the facilitators of the characters lives, meaning the driving force.
The idea is to set the basics for the character and let them go to live out their lives, and to not interject our own wants and desires into their roleplay.
My current, and typically persistant female character is strong-willed, playful, and very intelligent.
She is very bisexual, loves to flirt, but also has the alignment of lawful evil so she is by nature very personally driven in her own desires and will test others to see how far she can manipulate them, both physically and sexually; she will go to whatever lengths are necessary to obtain her own personal objectives.
Leilana was very much enjoyed being soft and elusive, but my character would like someone whom is alot more like Morrigan. Not necessarily looking for personal attachment, but as Morri put out that if her and their desires were to match then things of a romantic nature would occur, but nothing more. This shows someone with their own priorities and enjoys a friendly bit of sexual friendship whenever the twos' urges meet.
Basically my female character would be looking for:
Mentally:
- Highly intelligent
- Disdain for a 'relationship' other than a sexually friendly one
- Light possessive issues
- Very Flirtateous
- Critical eye for detail adding to her quick wit
- Learned mind
- Articulate and emotionally accentuated speech (like Morrigan)
- Magically intuitive
- Lawful Evil
Physically:
- Human or Elven
- Darker skin tone (Brown or black ((drow))
- White / Blonde hair
- Electric Blue / Emerald Green iris's
- Athletic body-type
- Larger chest (36-40 inches (C or D cup))
- Softer state bum, yet in-line with her athletic body-type
- Earrings affinity that are mystical in nature due to her fancy for magical items
- English voice set (England or Australian)

Talk about easy to please.

Lets just say from an intellectual standpoint, my summerization takes away alot of 'guesswork' on their part.
It outlines the look, mentality, and psychological parameters while leaving open the personality to interpretation as well as the potential backstory. This gives the storywriter plenty of berth to create the character within those specific limits.
Its alot easier when people tell others what they really want and one doesnt have to go through the 'guessing game' of trying to figure out specifics and limits, hun.

But, I think they outdid themselves this time in there being a bad boy who's bad from the start (though Zev's more a grey hat than a black hat).
I always thought Canderous should have been evil Revan's man toy in KOTOR, for instance. But there was no male counterpart to Ashley in ME. (You can apparently only slightly influence Kaiden to go to the alien-hating side, still doesn't make him ruthless or evil.)

I was merely attempting a moment of humour.
I understand your reasoning behind the list.
