I believe that they should go back to the tier system in DAO, as well as restrict special properties on equipment to unique items. I think that item sets should provide a small bonus so that while equipping a set rewarding, but mix-and-match are still viable.
What do the rest of you think?

Yeah me too, i really miss the equipment plan in DAO. I also think that it was Laidlaw who said that companion equipment had returned, but this time, it was fully customisable, such as companions being able to equip almost any piece of armour, just like Origins. I'm looking forward to being able to mix and match my companions armour instead of just wearing the same thing throughout the whole game. As for item sets bonuses, i don't know if they're including that yet. :)

I'd like to see weapons and armour scale a lot less dramatically with level. So that there's a broader window when you could concievably use a given item, and thus effectively more to choose from.

Well, I've already got that in DA2. Got to love mods. :)

Yes, I did like the DA:O style better than the vanilla DA2 style. I hope that we either get the DA:O style in DA3, and/or the game will be very much moddable. I hope that modders are supported in any case, as mods can really add to the replay value of a game, polish rough edges, and cator to more specific audiences.

I didn't like the equipment system in Dragon Age Origins or Dragon Age 2.
I would like a system Like mass effect 2 were the equipment was different and unique, but have the have the option to add enchantments to them.
Also you should have a way to change the appearance of equipment.
I also think armor should be one piece.

get rid of ... button = awesome .. if this is implemented again im going to smack my head against some concrete until i slur enchantments like a special dwarf and I will be in the minority that find this satisfying. bring back text dialogue.
In fact bring back Brent Knowles dammit. I dont want a hooker romance option, I dont want the virgin next door romance option, i dont want the gay whiny mage romance option.
I'm over it I've waited too long for a Dragon age origins sequel with real imports, real sequel, real people from my first amazing game play that switched me from FPS to hardcore rpg fan (Ive played so many rpgs now that haven't been able to compare to DAO)

Dragon age origins era is officially over the only way I can role play is smoke weed and play with legos.

Sorry for this ghastly submit but I'm thoroughly annoyed with every BIG dev at the moment. Money sucking back stabbing bastards.

Hopefully one day a dev with some ballz will continue the DAO story for real.

sorry for the rant, peace out homies

DAO happened. The story is over. There's nothing to continue. I liked what they did with the story in DA2 - at any rate, it's more interesting that DA2: Blight Harder would have been.

Besides, Thedas has plenty more stories to tell.

Personally, I'd rather no imports if they hardly affect anything (and they hardly ever do - ME was better at this, but it was still lame with so many variables). Give me a new story, with new characters, that's only tangentially connected to the previous ones. Halfassed cameos are... halfassed.

That said,

I dont want a hooker romance option

Zevran.

I dont want the virgin next door romance option

Alistair.

i dont want the gay whiny mage romance option

Entirely subjective.

And around we go.
