I am a new Star Wars Clone Wars newbie. Now I'm thinking of buying the complete collection of season 1 on dvd. But I have questions that need answers....
I probably will get this series by what people's feedback give me.....thanks
*Do you need to watch the movies in order to understand this cartoon series?
*How good is the story and why from 1 being worst to 10 being best.
*How good are the characters and why from 1 being worst to 10 being best?
*How good is the animation and why from 1 being worst to 10 being best.
*How good is the musiq from 1 being worst to 10 being best.
*How many seasons are currently planned for this series?
*What season and episode is the most recent one at this time?
*When will season 2 come out on box set?
*What seasons is better and why, season 1 or season 2.
*Of all the things why do you recommend this series and why?
*Is it better than the X-men animated series (the old fox show in 1992...)
When is this show better watched after what certain movies in the real series of Star Wars?
*Is this better than the movies of Star Wars or worse and why?
How many main characters are in this show?
*Is this show rated g, pg, pg-13, or r? Does it show any death in the series without no spoilers...
if someone can answer all these questions I would be extremefully grateful....thanks
~If anyone like Dragon Age I recommend Star Wars The Clone Wars~

I'm at a loss to see how this has anything to do with Dragon Age.
Wouldn't this have been better in the Off-Topic Forum?

Star Wars the Clone Wars had to be the absolute worst piece of garbage ever to grace the movie screen. People were gouging out their own eyeballs and spraying themselves with mace right after watching it. I expect the television series to be nothing less than the same.

The Clone Wars animated series by Tartoffsky (the Samurai Jack guy) is GREAT. The 3d movie and series, not so much.

So many haters...
Here's my take. SWCW is pretty amazing when you consider it from a technological and backstory background. I enjoy it a lot--and for free (i.e., the usual price of cable), I get a lot of entertainment from it.
As they take this into the 2nd season, I have to say you can see incredible growth of the size and scope of the battles, the depth of the characters, and the scale of the coming schism (and the pain) evoked by Order 66.
The reason people seem to be so polarized IMHO, is that it's not the original trilogy, it's on TV, and they have labelled it a "kids thing". The saga is excellent at being a codex, but it's also lacking in that special build up that is so incredible about an episodic release.
Not sure I'm up to tackling all of your 1-10 questions. But I will say give these secondary characters a chance to develop. Enjoy...

I despise the prequel trilogy(Ep 1,2 and 3), the only true Star Wars films are the original ones(Ep IV,V and VI).
As an animator, I would like to add that the animation wasn't anything special either. They just lost all the good things that made a story after Lucas got rich and started flaunting special effects and epic battles.

Despite the movie, the television series is actually pretty great.
