What happened to the male LIs is unfortunate (boy, do I ever feel sorry for the Jacobmancers), but I don't think that Bioware made a deliberate effort to make straight female players get stuck with the f/f romances. New male players can potentially only end up with one female option if they virmire Ashley, if I remember correctly (and excluding Allers, because she hardly counts as a character at all).

Don't romance Thane or Jacob. Don't sacrifice Kaidan on Virmire.

Problem solved.

Do you even get the issue here? I suggest you read my post and then reconsider your answer:innocent:

The issue isnt that straight fem shep cant have anyone to romance but that there is so few options compaired to male shep, do you understand?

Oh, I read your OP. I gave you a stupid reply on purpose. Pointless topics deserve pointless replies, after all.

Mostly because Priestly isn't a dev, only a PR person (and thus directing this to him is meaningless), but also partly because it's a complaint that's so widely known it really didn't need to be brought up again.

Since Chris is the one who keeps locking threads down and since he is a PR person he must know the reason for this. And this isnt a pointless topic to a lot of people, to you maybe but not to many others and the reason for it to be so widely open is because of the many threads being made about it, how else would you get the message out?

You must not have been here when the game first came out. Every second thread on this board was either a "Jacob/Thane's romance sucks!" or a "Hetero FemShep can have zero romances!"

Why would a PR person have any knowledge of how the dev works?

No I wasnt there but I dont really care. Call me crazy or stupid for making this thread, I needed to voice my opinion and I think its important to keep making threads about it.
I dont know if Chris know anything or not, I dont know how Bioware works or how there system works, if I did I would direct this question to the right person.

Is this another "Liara hate thread" in disguise? Because if that's the case let me tell you that this is a sci-fi game, and no a dating simulator.

Not crazy or stupid, just redundant.

Honestly, making more threads isn't the way to go about it. There's a FemShep support thread you could have voiced your view in, as well as Thane and Jacob's threads if you felt it necessary.

I dont hate Liara, I actually like her a lot, I just hate the ATTENTION she got especielly since she is a woman, if a male Li got the equal attention then I wouldnt mind so much.

Hmm, your thread title states you think Bioware wants you to go lesbian, yet you only reference Liara in the OP.... Ironically, Liara has no real gender. If you wanted to press the point in your title, why not throw Traynor's name in there too? Oh wait, I get what this is. This is yet another thread about how jealous people are of Liara's content. I never understand why these posters won't suggest improvements for their LI's content instead of tearing down on a character that some of us on the board actually enjoy....

As I stated above, I really like Liara as a character, its the attention she gets that I dont like but this isnt solely about her, the reason I mention her is because Bioware and now you says she isnt a woman, but she looks excactly like a woman so I would think she counts as a woman. The other reason for mentioning her is that noone else in the game got as much attention as she got, she got pushed on the player and as a female player I would have liked a male Li to have at least half the amount of effort put into it to make up for the few options there is. So no Liara hate here.

I do feel sorry for you Straight female players. Why did you sacrifice Kaiden on Virmire though? Most people don't sacrifice their LI, even if he is a particularly boring one.

Considering Thane could have gotten treatment for his syndrome, it would have made sense to get the lung transplant if he was in a romance. He suddenly has more to life for, after all.

Jacob... well I don't know why anyone would romance Jacob unless you just didn't want to romance an alien. I feel sorry for you nontheless.

I must say that I usually keep Kaidan around since he is my favorite Li and I dont care much for Jacob but I would at least have liked the option.

And yet, there are straight Femshep players that enjoy Liara's romance. Honestly, how does your classification of an alien character count towards anyone else's point of view? Not only is Liara not exclusive to Femshep, she's not even a lesbian by game lore. Traynor fits the description in your OP and title, yet no mention of her. Looks like disguised Liara envy to me. A good chunk of the playerbase does like the attention she got, so why not give suggestions to build your romances without referencing Liara at all?

Why is she even relevant to your complaints? She got more attention, so what? What do you want Bioware to do about that? Say it was a mistake? Ignore her for DLC? What purpose would that have except to make Liara fans angry for no real reason and sating some sort of desire for revenge a lot of posters on BSN seem to have towards her? Focus on your LI. I don't see why anyone else is relevant. In all likelihood, the other romances were meant to have just as much content. The game was rushed, there is no denying that. Ask for the content you want, and should have been included, without worrying about what somebody else has.

First of all, you are the one getting worked up about nothing and second of all I didnt trash talk about her, I MENTIONED  her which I have every right to do! And I DID say that I LIKE HER, can you not read???

Edit: SHE LOOKS LIKE A WOMAN, SHE WALKS LIKE A WOMAN, SHE IS A WOMAN!

Edit Edit: This is not a Liara thread! You say a lot of straight women romanced her, well so did I but thats not the point or issue. The issue is the few options among male Li's.

lol pretty much. Liara not being a woman is a bad argument.

Liara has boobs, a female voice actor, walks like a woman, makeup used to make her more like a woman, is more emotional like a woman (please don't take that the wrong way). To most people, our brains classify her under the catagory of "Woman", not "Monogendered space alien".

And yet, I'm not worked up. I'm not the one typing in all caps or using two question marks, after all. Apparently, I'm asking difficult questions that you are uncomfortable with. I do this with everyone that likes to bring up the "Femshep didn't get enough choices!! Look at what BW did with Liara!! I don't want to be a lesbian!" threads. If you had no problem with her, you would not claim that Bioware is trying to make you into a lesbian. You wouldn't have referenced her at all. I'm not saying that you can't reference her. I'm asking why it's relevant to your discussion and you're getting irrational and upset about it. Once again, focus on your content. Why is Liara's an issue?

And many fans don't think of her as a woman. That is your classification that you're trying to put on everyone.

Using caps doesnt mean one is worked up but okay.... I am sorry to be the one to break it to you but I dont need your approval to post what I post even if it does mean that I mention Liara.

I will say it again: This is not a Liara thread.

Did it not occur to you that the romances add extra depth to other characters and Shepard as well? They are also optional! Perhaps it is you who should get over it?  Don't troll the thread with "lulz, not dating sim yanno".

Ah, okay, I see. I ask the hard questions and you accuse me of telling you what to post. I'm asking you questions. I assume that is the reason of putting a topic on a discussion forum? To get some debate, right? Not everyone that clicks on your threads are going to agree with you. Also, if you didn't want Liara fans here, then, once again, why reference her in the OP? Sounds like you just want to stonewall people disagree with you.

Here's what this looks like: Your thread title accuses Bioware of attempting to have you play as a lesbian. The only character that can be perceived as female referenced in the post is Liara. You are essentially saying that Bioware is using Liara against you to force you to play a certain way. That is not true. You have options. Yes, they are less than Manshep and you don't have the content you think you deserve. However, how does that pertain to Liara in anyway? Bioware is not forcing you into content that you can 1. completely avoid by not sacrificing Kaidan at Virmire or killing Garrus in ME2 and 2. just not trigger because Liara's romance is completely optional. So, the question is, how is Bioware wanting you to play as a lesbian when it's completely optional and how does it pertain to Liara?

You brought her up. If you didn't want to talk about her, then why reference her? You made it into a Liara thread. It is a Liara/Kaidan/Garrus thread just going by your OP alone. Suddenly claiming it's not doesn't make it so.

Expressing and opinion isn't trolling. Posting useless images as an attempt to look cool, yes, Tiberis.

All you need to put in your original post to get him in here to read it is to say some one other then liara needs to show a little more skin. Though your thread might get locked for talking about porn.
