This is just my personal view, the way i see what class fit the character origin in the game

Human Noble
Although Cousland army are all sword and shield warriors (i don't see any other) i feel HN is more matching with two handed sword. It is because of most "knight" class in the game carry two handed weapon such as Howe Knight, Ser Jory, Ser Cultrien, Cailan, Sacred Ash Guardian, Sten...HN is supposed to be some sort of a Knight, because of nobility. even HN have family relic for sword and shield warrior but this lost significant in higher level. Furthermore, two handed weapon fit the HN body size. As specialization, i feel Templar fit nicely, because of templars are human (i never see non human Templar). And because of there is sentiment between human and mage, being able to dealing with magic is a good idea.:)

Dwarf Noble
Although i always have imagination that dwarves carry oversized axes in mind, but in the game two handed weapon do not fit. Maybe because of the graphic. The storyline is also talking about shield.. So i see DN is matching with weapon and shield warrior, not nessessarily becomes a tank. Furthermore, DN will get a nice Aeducan shield early on in Denerim and later a legendary sword in the Deep Road (if doing Orzamar early Topsider Honor Sword have it's significant). Being in small size and fat i think hiding behind a shield is a good idea. As for specialization, Champion fit nicely with Berserker. Templar specialization is a joke for dwarf in my opinion .

Dwarf Commoner
I find out rogue mechanic in DA don't fit a dwarf. Dwarf suppose to be robust and drunk fighter, not a sneaky backstabbing one. But the background story of DC demand to make a rogue-type character. being a hitman, extorting people, stealing and all evil things on earth, rogue class fit it all. Specializations also not fit DC rogue other than Duelist or Assassin. Do we ever hear a dwarf bard? it is a joke . Summoning animals also don't fit a dwarf.

Dalish Elf
Rogue Archer is matching. Living in wild makes the character should know few things about traps and poisons, being a sneaky hunter, and invisibility. Elves are also popular with a bow. i cannot find any other class fit DE. Summning animals also fit nicely, so Ranger is specialization for DE.

City Elf
Now this one is triky for me, in one way Dual Wield Weapon Rogue seems nice, but Dual Wield Weapon Warrior also seems nice too. I never made up mind between these two for CE character<_<. It seems to be CE can be matching with both a warrior and a rogue.

Mage
What can i say? For sure Arcane Warrior! . It fit both human and Elf mage. It is because i like the idea of the character find an ancient magic in Brecilian Forest and then she emerge as the last of Arcane Warrrior (even though there is one in Haven Temple cave if doing Sacred Ash later :pinched:). But a mage can match with anything we want, So cannot say much about it.

So that's it, what about you guys opinion? :)

City Elf makes a better rogue, imo. It just seems to fit better as far as story reasons go..I suppose Adaia could have been a warrior, but they rogue style of fighting is more suited to elves: thier slender, quick build.

I dunno. Bullying, extorting, ruthless thug? Sent to kill someone in the middle of a crowded bar? With dwarven knights watching? And a snarking, ruthless, dirt-throwing-into-eyes sidekick fighting alongside them? Seems like a warrior to me. Not to mention that I have trouble picturing a rogue with the testicular fortitude to try and pass themselves off as a warrior caste in front of everyone in Orzammar who has a caste. We never see Leske trying that.

I always picture the attacking the estate through the backdoor thing as a rogue way of doing things. A warrior would have knocked on the front door. (And probably died, but there you go.)

Don't forget the Arcane Warrior in Orzammar. (Unofficial Provings.) As for me, I personally think a mage learning blood magic as soon as the Templars aren't watching works better.

The dialogue is different if choose different class, if warrior, the Warden mom will be refereed as a warrior, if rogue, the Warden mom will refereed as a rogue. personally i like Warrior for City Elf, because the feeling of out of everyone in the Alienage, there is one warrior there who later become the Hero of Ferelden...but Rogue also matching too because of the Alienage background could produce more rogues than warriors...i never made up my mind to find the role-play class match for City Elf

Due to political intrigue, Nobles being rogues are normal. For example, Nathaniel Howe is a Noble and he is a rogue. Politics is a dirty dirty business.

but Howe is already dirty person lols

for honorable noble, warrior is more suitable...but can becomes corrupted and join the dark side, Reaver...

Interesting. I never rolled a warrior. As with the dwarf, the long sword seems a little too long for the elf. Maybe a DW warrior could work for the City Elf origin? Elves being light and limber, it makes more sense that they would have a dextrous build, rather than a strength build (and by extension, s&B).

Well, Duncan did borrow you a sword in City Elf Origin (female, i never play as male in any origin), so just go with it :-)

I did make Dual Wield Warrior City Elf

Believe me, medium and heavy armor on City Elf female is CUTE.....

If you were talking about his father, I will believe you. For he is a bastard. As For Nathaniel Howe, Marcus(male human noble rogue) gotten along with him a great deal. He did get along with Duncan(yes he is a rogue too).

Reaver is a fun specialization. For example, I do believe within Star Wars, Darth Bane could be very good EVIL Reaver.

I wish Alistair could learn that. Preferably sometime before he tries to get Loghain offed. "Your mentor offed a Grey Warden and was conscripted as a replacement. There is totally precedent for this, quit trying to derail it."
