It also seems that EA Help likes to throw the bioware devs under the bus... seems like a lot of finger pointing and nobody is accepting responsibility for mishaps or even attempting to reconcile them.

I hope the packs do show up "Tuesday Evening", but if they don't and you want them; better contact EA for some useless info on how they can't help you because the operation is "now over".

There's a difference between an operation being over and expired. The operation is expired when the commendation pack has been available for some time. If you don't get the commendation pack you should contact EA after the challenge is over and before the commendation pack is expired.

I think you misread my comment. I don't look down on less skilled players and I apologize if I seemed rude. After reading it again I think I should have rephrased my comment to better reflect my opinion. I edited my comment to clarify.

You could have been a liitle more polite in your response, though. I don't like being called pathetic and if you choose to apologize, I would accept it.

You have to also remember sometimes you get put in the wrong level at start,a few times I have  got thrown into Gold infact all squad died by wave 3,Silver I can handle and complete with a good team but you always get some lone players that charge off in the distance and get killed somewhere far away from squad.

I saw one adept that refuse to  use    stasis on phantoms on silver,don't know why but  she got killed/KO a few times by phantoms,I know because I ended up reviving her as male quarian with phantom on my tactical scanner.

End of the day players  have different skill levels/weapons  and play style so have to allow for that,I'm not best player by far(don't play on Gold because too hard for me) but try to work as a team and stay near squad/cover etc..

1) Please define "some time", Rahul couldn't do it either.  When exactly should I (or others) contact EA?

2) When the challenge weekend is over, it has "expired".

The packs expiring is not the same as the challenge expiring.  They have a time limit to claim them once received (didn't receive them), unless that magically changed?

Either way, in my country, the good ol' USA, it is illegal for gift cards to expire.  EA also does not have the authority to change the statute of limitaions I have upon filing claims after discovery either.

I'm calling them gift cards because that's what they are, electronic gift cards.  I am being compensated for allowing my user data to be collected under specific conditions in a specific time frame with an electronic gift card redeemable in the in-game store, in which packs are assigned monetary value.  This monetary value is further reinforced by the "ban-hammer", in which an exploit was found and immediately fixed where upon players doing this could receive "in-game credits" or as EA would claim, "stealing".

Notice how nothing is being done when the consumer is having issues with EA "stealing" from them.

I'm not directing this towards you Fredvdp, EA loves to take our money.  They just don't want to honor the contract we entered into upon participating in the event.

I think a challenge is considered expired when the commendation packs are expired. I could be wrong,t hough. After I read on the forums that the commendation packs have been handed out, I immediately check the game. If I don't have them, I immediately contact EA through their live chat on Origin. I read in the tech support forums that others also don't get their packs if they wait too long to contact them. I don't know the exact amount of time so sorry for being vague.

I tried to be as supportive as possible but for some reason I always got put in games where people split up and never revived others. I guess it may have just been very bad luck but I had three of these games in a row and always with different people. I even got in a game with three infiltrators who never cloaked and didn't do objectives. It was fun, though. I enjoy chaotic matches from time to time.

I am pretty sure packs expire one week after the day they are supposed to be delivered. So, packs are usually delivered on Tuesday evenings. You would have through to next Monday to go in the store and open it. My general rule of thumb is if my pack hasn't shown up by Thursday at noon, I contact EA live chat and get it in about 5 minutes. Has not failed me so far.

Another (Gold) game without retrieval mission. Makes me wish they set the MP so that we get at least one retrieval mission in each match. As it is we may fail not for lack of trying, but for the RNG hating us.

Did lots of bronzes today to maximize successful objectives. Definitely seemed to be loooaaaads more collection objectives than normal. It was rare for a match to not have at least one collection objective, so we probably did around 10-15 I guess, plus a few yesterday.

Is that on both private and public matches? Sorry if it's an obvious thing you've already tried, but you could go for a private one, get everyone in, then change the settings if you still have spaces you want open to others.

Failing that, does doing a few rounds first help? I see disconnections almost every time I play, but only for the first round or two. After that, things stabilize.

Last one, using the same router may help, strangely, which could be the case with you and your husband (not prying). My brother and I play together, but have difficulty joining when we're both at our respective homes. However, he sometimes brings his PS3 over and we connect via the same router (but are still playing public open games). With him in the room, connection seems fine and joining is no problem.

Well this Operation sucks. Its hard enough to get in a match where you get a retrieval objective but its another issue completely when you constantly lose connection to the worthless EA servers.

I’ve been in about 8 matches today and half of those I lost connection with the server or worse yet lost total internet connection. I cant even risk trying a silver match due to the risk of this BS.

I also found myself in a gold match when I was searching for a bronze (thats getting ****g old as well) on wave 1 no less.

I give up. I play games to have fun not get more depressed and stressed out.

If you're reading this and it pertains to you: Don't be afraid to use your Supplies. For example, not waiting for your whole team to bleed out before using a Medi-Gel, or using your Missile against a group of 2 Primes and 3 Pyros. I've played 4 games in a row with stingy people and I don't know why they want to lose.

I feel your pain. I had the exact same experience today. But, I have less patience than you I got disconnected twice, once in wave 1 and the other in wave 3. Then got sent to a gold match, I was searching for bronze, in the middle of wave 3. Spawned in the middle of a swarm and died repeatedly.

I used some medi-gels and some missiles and made it to wave 6..."You have lost your connection to the EA servers..." I gave up for the day then and there.

I did fine yesterday. Got 2 Silver extractions and played 3 Bronze matches with no problem. But today it was disconnect city for every single match I tried.

I never lost my internet connection or my connection to XBL, however.

I've only ever encountered the disconnect problem during these weekend events. Never any other time. It still sucks however.
