You tell dogs to fetch, thus mastiff.
Nice change from the previous missions in the sense that I can't see how we can fail.
Yeah, "operation mastiff" sounds a lot tougher than "operation beagle" or "operation chihuahua" haha
I think Operation Beagle would be a great name, I love Beagles, they're so cute.

Completion of the allied goal awards all players a Victory Pack that has a guaranteed N7 weapon.
That's a wonderful news! A guaranteed N7 weapon is very appreciated.
Just a question: Will we get the new mission more frequently during this weekend?
Do we have to get the extraction in the same match we complete the retrive mission?
I ask just out of curiosity since completing matches on Silver wouldn't be difficult (I'll probably complete a lot of them)
Thanks very much for the N7 weapon in Victory pack

Too bad you're in XBox, otherwise I would help you out; having said that, I suggest you spam the cheapest pack so you can get good levels on your common weapons and use those until you get good levels on the uncommon/rare/etc.ParthianShotX wrote...
Stupid newbie question: I've been playing multiplayer for maybe a week now and only play bronze (unless I screw up woefully and have level set to random). I play bronze because I am a newbie and I suck. I do try to be the best bullet sponge I can be, though (attribution to whoever deserves it). I've yet to see a retrieval mission on bronze. Are they only offered at silver and gold levels? And, if so, will I be soundly cursed if I play a silver level during the course of the challenge because I want to join in on the fun?
It's also good for you to level up a class that you like to play with, and search this forum so you can get ideas on how to evolve your character.
If you have some extra time, I would recommend you also play as other classes just so you get an idea of how they work and how can your main class complement the others.
Other than that, always be close to your team and be a good team player, use your consumables and watch your flanks.

Just as long as we don't have to shoot the Red Baron

@ ParthianShotX: I'm on Xbox and I can help you. If you want to play just send me a message here on BSN. I'm always glad to help new players.

The news that the victory pack will also provide an ultra-rare weapon is fantastic. I thought the changes for the last operation were good, but this is an all new level of awesome. I've been ignoring a stack of games just for more ME3 multiplayer because it keeps getting better and better. Thanks BioWare!

You just need to extract with at least one of those characters on your team.

Do you play with friends?NewStrings wrote...
How frustrating for those of us who haven't unlocked any of them yet.
Do those friends have one of the new characters?
Then you're just fine!

I get the feeling they've taken the N7 item out of the commendation pack, and have put it in the victory pack instead.

How likely is it that they'll be giving out two N7 promotional weapons?

It's very likely, apparently.
We've been seeing them experiment with the Victory Packs a bit lately to encourage completion of the Community Goals. Making it so there are two N7 weapons(not a N7 and an Ultra-Rare[Important distinction. The promotional guns are referred to as N7, the others are Ultra-Rares]) is a heck of an incentive.

It would be great if they did give out two n7 promos, but pretty naff if they did a switch without mentioning it - since everyone is used to having an n7 promo gun in their commendation pack.

Retrieval objectives do pop on bronze missions. Since they were implemented, I would say I see at leat one for every 2-3 missions played.
Click on my sig for a group of folks that would be more than willing to help you through the silver objective. XBox members are the largest part of this group. Focus on leveling and getting comfortable with a couple characters/classes in advance of the weekend, buy some packs to get equipment, and you'll be good.
