 Since the game explains so little, ive come heere to ask soemthing thats been driving me insane...My main is going spir heals, and i cannot for the life of me, figure out what this means?!

In tactics when you want to set the circumstance, theres two different options for health requirements to meet..The one ive always used being "Ally, Health>,25%" and it will heal whenever they reach 25% hp or lower...

This other one "Ally, Health>=, 25%" and i just cant figure it out, and have looked for an answer...Does it mean it will try to keep it AT 25%? or that it wont let it fall below 25%? wth is it? lol..

Any help is greatly aappreciated..

I'm not sure what the answers to your questions are, but as far as using the tactics menu I could maybe say a couple of things.

When health falls below a certain level, < 25% is a good number, then either the healer can do a heal spell or the character can use a healing potion. That would be a good thing.

If the menu command is set to do healing only when health is greater than or equal to 25% (> or = 25%) then a badly damaged character will not be healed. That does not sound good.

My belief is that the "greater than" conditions are used mostly for stamina-related commands. This allows the character to switch to other tactics when he/she runs out of stamina.

yeah, i confused with it too, but i just assume <XX% means "when fall below XX%", so i just set up tactic for example

For any character
Self---> Health <50% ---> Use health poultice

For healer mage
Ally/Character name ----> Health <50% ---> Use Ability ----> Heal

So when health fall below 50% the tactic will trigger

I don't know what >=XX% means in the game, "more or equal with XX%"? So if

Self ---> Health >=50%

100% is more than 50% right? does the tactic trigger when reaching 50% or 100%? So confusing...

>=25% take health poutice will try to heal you If your health is over or equal to 25 percent. This is good if you want to get rid of you health poutices by accident. I don't think there is a just > then. Did you mean < then?

Having your companions set to use Health Poultice (Weakest) at Health < 25% is nice, if you need to you can manually get them to use a stronger poultice. Same for lyrium potions and mana with your mages,

For me, use health poultice <25% health is usually too late lols, that is why i set at <50%

I do the same and I agree that if its set lower then sometimes it a bit to late for the healing to really mean anything. Especially if you are playing a front line combat character.

I like to build a bit of overlap into my tactics for healing:

--each character uses the first tactics slot for: health < 25% ; Use least powerful health potion

--mage (often is Wynne) performs Heal spell whenever an ally has health <75% and also does a Group Heal when any ally has health <50%

So three separate conditions will trigger a healing, one way or another. Seems to work pretty well at keeping everyone at top health.
