Why Tactial Cloak prevents good weapon creation and weak wep buffs

As the Nerfers are out for blood on the new weps, i think it's time thier TC got nerfed.

Nerfed into the ground.

I'm talking the 90% damage boost becomes 15%.

Once that happens the infilitrator class can no longer prevent weps like the 2 rares we just got from being created.  it will alow unique and usefull weapons to be introduced and existing options buffed slightly or greatly to make them relevant. 

We can't allow these silver-playing TC abusing Nerfers to prevent Bioware from making weapons actually usefull.

I and the other sane members of this community must therefore make the sacrifce.  - take our TC Bioware.  Make it so infiltrators don't dominate in weapon damage.  Make it so one ability on one class doesn' dictate weapon balance.

TC must be nerfed for the greater good, this must happen before the Nerfers make every class other than Infiltartor pointless.

Yeah, you are so awesome. If only I could be so uba as you are... I would totally cry for nerfes of classes mainabilities the whole day.

I will take 15% damage over 90% only if tactical cloak makes me COMPLETELY invisible, untargetable and undetectable, no matter the enemy, distance to them or group size. If i play alone all enemies should freeze and wait until I decloak for further actions.

this has to be done. Believe me, the nerfers want worse. If this happens, weapon buffing for ALL not just Infiltrators, can begin.

Also how much easier would this make it for Bioware to put out balanced weapons? Much.

It's just inherently funny that the group that yelled the loudest to get  guns nerfed (a lot of infiltrator sigs in those threads anyways), don't feel like tac cloak is OP.  

Don't get me wrong, I rolled a rogue in vanilla wow and thought it was enjoyable.  The problem here is two-fold.
  • Infiltrators are always top of the boards.  This matters to people.  It may not mean a thing, but last I checked nothing we did in any video game meant anything.  So it's all digital e-peen anyways.
2.  TacCloak lets you guarantees the most survivability, the most single target damage, the best objective                      capping, the best in-combat rez...  The list goes on.

Why would I ever take a soldier when I can take an QMI?  Tack on the Krysae and some equipment and I am an AoE machine.  No other class comes close.


I don't know what needs to be changed.  But I wholeheartedly agree a nerf is incoming.

As I said, only if tactical cloak works like a CLOAK, instead of a damage buff that confuses enemies a little.

I really, really hope so. Or at least that BioWare will see him as one, and not actually representing a forum oppinion. I like my Tactical Cloak - if it is removed (read: nerfed beyond reasonable use), Infiltrators will be nothing but gimped Engeneers or Soldiers.

The proposed nerf is ridiculous, but the basic premise is correct. TC is a massive hindrance to the overall balance of weapons in this game.

Yep and no more shooting at my last location too. I am fine with that. Also, I will refuse to revive any fallen teammate post nerf lol (not trolling you, but the nerfers)!

If TC is severely slashed, Sniper rifles would need to be seriously buffed, lest they become useless.

op is 100% correct, Some of us have been calling for slight class nerfs instead of weapon nerfs because the cause of the old 'it's too easy' quotes most of the time are due to classes not the weapon. And when a weapon is nerfed because it is too powerful you instantly take it out of the hands of the non leet classes leaving guys like my turain sentiel scrambling for a half assed gun.

I propose that after the TC nerf Bioware gets working on overahauling many of the weapons.  Not to the degree that TC currently boosts them too, but a level that will make them useable on Gold.

that way Infiltrater gets Balanced and all classes benefit.

 I've thought for a while now that TC should have no inherent damage bonus, or a small one, like 20%. Then at rank 4, you could increase that to 50%, then at rank 6, you could give it another bonus exclusive to sniper rifles, maybe another 25-30% damage. This would allow it to be used as a damage dealer if you want, but would also allow for it to also be used as a Tactical Cloak.  That's just my own ideas, though.

Which would help make them a more viable loadout option for other classes as well, ensuring that homogenization we all love in games. /sarcasm 

As I've stated before, not sure what changes should be made.  Just sure that changes need to be made.  A nerf to TC in incoming.  The degree of severity is the only question.
