I lost my DAO PC disc but thanks to a poster here I contacted Origins who downloaded it to me for free!

I started to play, but of course, none of the mods I previously installed were operating.

I found the Origin DAO file on my computer and transferred all the override files that I had on my computer from my old (disc) game. Then I started up my Origins downloaded version and it would not load - indicating that I needed the disc to start the game! Ooopppsss... I had to delete the Origins version and re-download....

So here is my question...

Do I have to re-download and re-install all the wonderful mods I used previously to the new DAO files - does anyone know how to use mods with an Origins download...

Any and all help would be appreciated!

Any mods that were in your "\\[user's documents]\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\overrride" folder you can just copy to the same folder under your new install.

Any that were in the old "\\addins" folder you will need to re-install using DAUpdater (or DAMM or DAM, if you have one of those "helpers".)

Basically, anything that was NOT a ".dazip" can be copied. Anything that was, will need to be re-installed.

If you kept the original downloads, you can use those as your source.
