I don't know about you, but I've been growing disappointed with seeing so many threads getting locked down in the General Discussion section and people being told to go to other forum sections to post, especially when they're discussions I as someone who can only access that section would have liked to post in.

I'll explain my position.  Currently, there is one copy of Mass Effect 3 between myself and my boyfriend since we live together.  It is registered on his account.  The question he posed to me was, "Do you seriously want to pay money to post on a forum about Mass Effect 3?"  No, I don't.  And hence why I am making this proposal.

I'm sure there are others in a similar situation.  Parents and children, brothers and sisters, boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses, all who share 1 copy of the game between them.  Does that mean that these people who co-own and share this experience have no right to any real discussion on the game?

I humbly request that there be a section where we can be allowed to post about stuff like spoilers, in-depth discussion about the game, it's characters, story, everything.  At the very least, I figure there's no harm in asking.

To help give an idea on how many may or may not be interested in such a thing I have created a poll for people to chime in on their opinion:

social.bioware.com/1917673/polls/34971/

Feel free to make any additional comments or opinions here as well.

It would be hard to check I suppose, and can't you share your EA account with him? I guess if not you could send an email to bioware support, they usually are nice, for example they changed my name on SWTOR forums for me.

Well, when we were apart, we each had our own copies of ME2, and I already had to make an EA account to buy DLC. He made an Origin account to try the ME3 demo before he eventually bought the game. I expected EA to just tell me I'd have to buy my own copy. =/

Good cause but never gonna happen. Too easy to take advantage of.

Well, I'm not saying that they have to verify who is a shared owner.  I just want a place where people who can't register  a copy of the game can still talk about the game at length.  We can't really do much in the General Discussion section, especially nowadays.  Chris has been on a lockdown spree a lot more.
