If Bioware announced one thing about DA3 that would make you buy it no matter what (if you aren't going to already), what would it be?

Barring that....perhaps a type of merger similar to Capcom and Marvel for a few games, with Bethesda to make a combination of DAO and Skyrim.

Agree with the OP, if they get licensed to use old D&D or even older AD&D rules, I would preorder on the first day they make it available.

What type of combination? An open world RPG like Skyrim with the party based gameplay and the dialogue system of DAO?

((edit add)) And the crafting of Skyrim, especially with the resource gathering.

They don't need to own Wizards in order to get the license to use their rules, ya know.
Yes but doesn't Atari still hold the lease on dnd computer games or is that over now?
I would love BW to make dnd games. Or Obsidian. Or...both.

"DA3's combat will use 3rd edition D&D rules"
Reading the thread title I thought there's no such thing... then I opened the thread and saw this.

I can dream.
Although DA:3 is a pre-order for me anyway, this would just make it more appealing

I gotta like the game. There has to be enough for me to like it, and it's kinda hard to exactly decide what that takes, in advance.
Edit: Actually, I seem to have answered the wrong question. I'd probably buy DA3 anyway, just because it's DA. If DA2 had not been widely recognized as a disaster (but still have been the same game), I wouldn't. Bioware would've been dead to me. As it is now, I'm kinda curious what they'll do, so I'm buying it. Bioware's salvation or condemnation is in their own hands, but I can at least be fair enough and give them a chance.

EA splits up with Bioware and leaves them alone. Not gonna happen, but hey, I can dream.
You mean "sells" Bioware right? Don't forget, EA owns Bioware, it wasn't a merger.
And for me, nothing makes me buy a game no matter what. Ever.

That would be really cool. I noticed that hawke and companion characters don't act the same way enemy blood mages do, summoning and interacting with demonds and transforming into abiminations.

^This or rideable halla.
Dwarves and elves as playable races would be awfully persuasive as well.
