If Bioware announced one thing about DA3 that would make you buy it no matter what (if you aren't going to already), what would it be?

There is nothing they can do or say to make me buy the game, in fact I will most likely not buy it.

But the one thing they can do to make me consider buying, is for them to recognize that the writing of DA2 was more or less a joke and that they will run away from it as much as possible. Which I doubt will happen.

Not that I care, when even action titles end up producing better stories.

Witcher2 style cutscenes with a female harem.

Seriously though... there is no one feature that would make me buy anything. To
even get a consideration the demo is going to have to be stellar.

Agreed. I will wait for what they have to show, but I am very, very curious.

This is pretty much how I feel. I'll buy it anyway, but I can't say any one thing would make it an instant buy.

...well... maybe gorilla companions, a Dwarven protagonist, and the Ranger spec returning. That certainly couldn't hurt things.

As for the bolded part :      Let us hope that if you ever get your wish,it will be implemented correctly, and you will not end up with a gorilla protagonist accompanied by ranger companions with dwarf specializations.

"Spiritual Successor of Dragon Age Origins" would do it for me, as long it is not another lie... errm... marketing strategy.

I will probably get it anyway, but what really would get me excited about it again if it was dark and depressing, taking DA:O a step further. I didnt have that feeling in DA2, everything was colourfull and for me it was like there was a great story behind it, but unnecessary jokes and the bad german synchronization prevented me from enjoying irt as much as i hoped. That was what made DA really special for me!
Seeing that in the first trailer would make me buy the game without waiting for reviews...

Turn-based would probably guarantee I'd buy it. Not that that's ever going to happen.

If either Loghain or Varric are in it, it's a day 1 buy.

If they said that for people who wanted more variety beyond the three-four specializations per class included in the game, they'd be offering "class packs" priced similarly to item packs that add additional unique specializations, I'd buy it ten times.

Lesbian dwarves.

The only reason DA:O > DA2.

I know DG is dead set against dwarven love interests, but Sigrun was pure bottled awesome. A Sigrun/Varric romance would produce an insane amount of *squee*.

The more Loghain love, the better.

See, Bioware? Now do it, you know you want to! :wizard:

And all that Orlesian punching will have to be narrated by Varric.

It just occurred to me that not only could Loghain techinically still be living, but he could, in fact, be involved in some kind of illicit relationship with the Warden that betrayed Alistair!

The idea of him being allowed to walk Thedas is just... Image IPB

sorry, Begemotka!

think of it this way, my warden:

-let him live

-made him a grey warden which is a slow death sentence

-he was sent into orlais, the country he hates

-had his daughter marry the brother of the man he murdered

-took his lands as the boon  from his daughter

i basicly ruined his life and he considers me one of his most dear friends.

my friends...alistair....revenge is served:devil:

@brushyourteeth : we all have our take on the sorry sod,no worries there, and as always,YMMV    :kissing:
I tried to see the issue in DAO from both sides, and well...there you go. Probably have something personal going on pertaining to invading armies overstaying their welcome,so my opinion is definitely biased.     ;)

Anyhow - as long as BW showcases a stellar DA title,I am parting from my hard-earned euros,no question. There,I said it.

That's not what he actually said.  He said something along the lines of "I'm not making dwarf romances just to make a dwarf romance,"  which is not the same thing as "I refuse to do dwarf romances."

Well, my favorite DAO ending has Loghain killing the Archdemon and dying heroically.

But the dialogue option of saying something like "Dying heroically would be a reward, not redemption.  Your punishment is to live and serve the Wardens you tried to destroy" has its appeal.

I"m just not that vindictive.  And I think turning Loghain into an heroically dead ally makes the most political sense for Ferelden.  It doesn't just redeem him, it redeems all those who supported him in the civil war without being involved in his more nefarious schemes.
