If Bioware announced one thing about DA3 that would make you buy it no matter what (if you aren't going to already), what would it be?

Thought of another thing that is needfull to DA3.In DA2 Merill "stepped in something"now while horses might be pushing it to ride maybe we could see some off in the distance.

This is where I struggle then. You say you'd like the multiplayer to be stripped out, but the rest of the game to be the same? I.e. the single player component is unchanged?
What value does that actually add?

I think he's suggesting that the quality of the game is diminished because of multiplayer. He's not saying to just literally take out multiplayer functionality, but to take out the effects of multiplayer support on the game (whatever they may have been).Allan Schumacher wrote...

And just let me say I shouldn't have to pre-order a different game to get access to all the content in single-player, like you guys repeatedly claimed and continue to imply while knowing it's actually not true.
I saw you trying to trivialize it, and I tell you now it will not be trivialized! :-)

Unfortunately that ship has sailed though.
I can understand if someone feels that the multiplayer took away from the single player game, but actively patching the multiplayer out won't change that now.

If BW had made multiplayer a DLC and left SP alone,I'd still dislike the ending,Galaxy map and the bugs. But would not care about what i don't spend money on.Since I bought the game as a single player game, and was told on the forums"You won't need MP for the SP game".
Anyone think we need a casino to make more money than reselling torn pants?

Hm.
Lots of varied areas, I guess.
Although the game needs many improvements in other regards.

Yeah, but the suggestion isn't to patch it out. The suggestion is to magic its existence away. (At least that's the way I read it. I'm not so sure anymore.)Allan Schumacher wrote...

This is already sort of a fantasy thread. I don't see the harm in being unreasonable (it's not like most of the stuff even has a chance anyway).
Plus, with all these extreme options, then I can come in with something like "MOAR SHALE" and they'll say "Hey, we can do that one!" and then they'll do it. So, in the end, I WIN! What's not to like about that?

The first one I could think of was something along the lines of "no autodialogue", so I guess I'll go with that. But a hypothetical feature that would fix ME3's multiplayer requirement sounds tempting.
Edit: Actually, I think it's already been said that there wouldn't be much autodialogue. Okay then, I'll go with the second thing that comes to mind - a combat pace similar to DA2's. I can deal with a combat system I don't like if the story's good, but it's more fun if I enjoy it.

Shale would be cool.Has she changed back to a dwarf or is she still a golem?
According to the latest novel it was still a golem. Though I don't know if that really means much if we see it in the games.

She's also all alone now. There's nobody to look out for her.
This situation cannot—must not—be tolerated.

There you go - I want to romance a re-dwarved, un-golemed Shale in DAIII.
Make it happen, people.

One of my Wardens had convinced her that being soft was'nt so bad and her and Wynne were going to Treventiam(sp) to get that taken care of.Then in Awakinings Wynne was there but no Shale. With no reason given for Wynne not being with her.Shale deserves Life!(Opps that sounds bad)Shale deserves to live!Much better.brushyourteeth wrote...

Yeah, Wynne and Shale were definitely still palling around together in the "Asunder" novel and getting involved in all sorts of magical experiments. By the end of the book she's still covered in rock, though.
I bet she's a fox beneath all that stone, though. And she should totally still fight with her fists (it worked for Utha in the "The Calling" novel)

I had the widest grin of probably months when I first got to Shale in the book. I was practically beaming. She was as magnificent as ever.

Following his previous two Dragon Age novels, The Stolen Throne and The Calling.
These are full novels (about 400 pages each) by the lead writer for the Dragon Age franchise (who also happens to be Shale's writer in Origins). The Stolen Throne is about Maric and Loghain and the fight to retake Ferelden from the Orlesians; The Calling is about the Wardens and the Architect; and Asunder is about the mage circle in Orlais (of which Wynne's son is a member) and the crumbling situation between the mages and the templars.

Why final?
Note, I don't actually know what David's writing plans are and this is the first I heard that Asunder was the final novel.
But to be fair to David, he HAS been doing Dragon Age writing for pretty much a decade. I wouldn't hold it against him if he decided to write less about it in his time when NOT writing specifically for BioWare too! Haha.
