I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about the weapon... I absolutely loved it in my first playthrough, but it seems so much weaker in MP... I heard they nerfed it, but it honestly feels like it does nothing now.

One of the most underrated weapons on the BSN and one of the best ARs in the game right now.
It's an AoE and CC weapon, it's not going to do amazing single target dps. It does however, do amazing AoE dps and AoE CC.

Use it with cryo ammo and it's sick

Highly underrated and a great weapon, particularly if you build your character around it by using it with an ammo power to set up Tech Bursts, or as part of a constant stagger or constant AoE damage build.
That said, the Krysae has made it a little obsolete. It still has its place, though.

It's alright as a crowd control weapon and for applying ammo effects. I don't use it anymore though, since the Krysae offers almost as good CC and ammo effects, better ammo reserve, and much much better damage.
If you're using it exclusively as a close combat weapon, on something like a batarian or a vanguard, the falcon might still get the nod though.

The Falcon in SP is 100x more powerful than the one in MP.
That being said, its niche is that it instantly staggers enemies, a godsend for some classes.

Don't listen to this person. They have no idea what they're talking about.

I really didn't care for it...that is, until I tried it. It's a very fun weapon to use...and highly overlooked. the fun can get old fast, because once you get the hang of the weapon, it's kinda boring. I like it though!

its a ok AR weapon, sadily in MP it does not live up to other weapons normally. If you build your class around the weapon it will end up just being a ok, not bad,not good, and not great but ok.

The Falcon is a decent weapon that can stagger entire crowds of enemies at mid- to long range, and which can also disperse Ammo Mod effects (like Cryo Ammo) to groups of targets.
It is not ideal for close range targets, because the rate of fire is fairly slow.
People have pointed out that, unless you're hosting, it can fire a good deal of blank ammunition, which is highly problematic.
The weapon does not need to actually hit its target to detonated the grenade rounds. You can aim above an enemy's head if he's in cover and still detonate. Rounds can be banked off of walls to hit enemies around a corner or behind obstructions.
I tend to use it with my Turian Soldier, gaining the benefits of increased rate of fire and stabuility. Turns into a beast when you increase the RoF.
But carry a sidearm of some sort for close encounters.

It's awesome, don't listen to the haters. There was actually a thread about it earlier today with a lot of good points. I'm just going to copy/paste my opinion on the Falcon straight from there:
The Falcon is one of the most fun and effective weapons in the game, when it is fulfilling it's role. That's the problem most people have, they want it to be something it's not.
It's roles include:
1. Crowd Control - Staggering/Stunning groups of enemies to stop their advance and make them easy to finish off.
2. Application of Ammo Effects - Easiest gun in the game to set up Tech/Fire/Cryo Explosions, as it has the largest AoE and Ammo effects are applied from the explosion, not bullet contact.
3. Flushing enemies from cover - It will detonate on close proximity and the bouncing mechanic is surprisingly effective once you get it down.
Pair it with a great power, and really watch it shine. ProxMine lets you stunlock almost any non-boss enemy. CS lets you set off Tech Bursts faster than any Engineer can. Powerful grenades are the best to set off Fire/Cryo Explosions.
The giant weakness to the weapon is it's effectiveness on bosses (other than applying Ammo effects). But that's why you keep the rest of the battlefield clean while your boss killing teammates easily wipe the floor with Banshees/Brutes/Atlases/Primes because you are killing, staggering or suppressing everything else that might hurt your teammates.

It works great but only if you add a ammo type to it. Cyro works great to freeze and disruptor for tech bursts. You need levelit up a bit so it doesn't kill your power cool down also. Outside of that I wouldn't use it

Really weak against bosses, but maybe the best weapon against phantoms.

A great crowd control and AOE weapon that people seem to be scared to use simply because it was once nerfed (a nerf that was perfectly justified), and they now think it sucks, when it doesn't.
I use it on my Vorcha Sentinel, perfect combination.

It's brilliant if you want to stun lock nearly anyone. Or a small crowd. Just had a few games with it where I could hit and basically incapacitate a whole spawn point. Good times. The trick is to not fire too fast, wait until they've recovered from their previous stagger.

I use it with my engineers and I still love this gun for supporting.

Its better suited for cramped maps like Glacier or White, use it almost exclusively on my GI and it very easily tops score boards Only problem I find with it is its long delay between shots makes it not so good for takeing on boss units like Primes or Atlas

ah, no wonder... I was using it without an ammo addon. I recently started and am somewhat... poor when it comes to consumables atm...lol.
I did notice it staggers pretty much every other shot, even on primes in gold. it was kind of annoying though because I couldn't get any kills which leads to less points and that's what I need to farm up more credits so a bit counter-productive for me right now regardless of the positives

Incendiary ammo + decent level falcon on a CQC Infiltrator destroys.
