So after months of playing ME3 MP without a mic quite happily, I actually have found someone friendly enough to friend me (on his own initiative; I'm not the type to ask people myself), and competent enough that I enjoy playing with him (not that I wouldn't play with someone less competent, mind, but it's a nice bonus).  He's one of those very helpful mic players who'll warn you about enemies behind you, and mention possible strategies, and even compliment his teammates, but not just fill the game with chatter.  And now I think I'd like to get a mic so I can at least give him the same courtesy.  So, for all you mic-users, what's a good one to use for ME3?  Please keep in mind with suggestions that I am technologically incompetent--something reasonably easy to acquire and set up is very preferable.

Headsets are pretty ideal. They're headphones with a microphone attachment. It will keep you from "echoing" (noise from your game being fed back through the mic resulting in an echo effect).

Most mics on headphones do pretty good at not picking up on background noises as well. I'd say get one where the mic can "flex" so you can adjust to to a comfortable distance from your face. They also leave your hands free to play the game.

Just not the wireless ones, I've had problems and a ton of interference with those before.

Something I should have mentioned, and was stupid not to--I play on the PC, so it's gotta be a computer mic.

I currently use this: http://europe.beyerd...ming/mmx-2.html

It's a brilliant headset; the sound is very high quality, it's comfortable and the mic is clear, cutting out a lot of the ambient noise.

They make PC turtle Beaches, I have a wired one of those as well. It's quite nice, I use it whenever I play Nuclear Dawn.

Already taken into consideration. They make headsets for computers. You can find them in the sound system section of any computer store. The plugs are even color coded for convenance!

Turtle Beaches are awesome. Just be careful with the wired ones =/ if you plug it into your TV or whatever, if someone trips over it, the jack to the audio will break off in the audio slot. That's what happened to me ;-; no more audio

Just don't talk to your girlfriend about how her day was while everyone else has to sit there and listen.
