7000 series? Damn that's old. It can't detect a supported video card because you don't have a supported video card.

There were only two members of that "series", and both were renamed versions of the very first Radeons ever, back in about 2000 or so.  (Could've been 2001, though.)  The Radeon SDR had 32 MBs of ordinary single rate RAM, and the Radeon DDR had 64 MBs of double data rate RAM.  They were renamed the 7200 and 7500, respectively.  What seems odd is that GPU Review seems to be using "7000" for the 7200 . .

They compare very poorly with the minimum Radeon X000s (here's the weakest of those versus the best of the 7000 numbered):

Anyway, instead of Dx9, it can only do Dx7.

(Sorry about the silly typo, now corrected: GPU Review, not "GUP" Review!)

Replace that with this: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx

The HD 4650 is pretty much the maximum card that will run on the stock power supply from a PC as old as what you have now.

www.gpureview.com/Radeon-HD-4650-AGP-card-611.html

In order to be certain that $80 is a useful addition to the PC you have, complete this:

Basic Hardware Specification Chart (Empty so far)

Processor Manufacturer: AMD / Intel
Processor Name / Type: Athlon 64 / Pentium / C2D / dual core / quad, etc.
Processor Speed:  ?.? Ghz (or AMD Performance Number)
Operating System / Service Pack: WindowsXP with SP #?, Vista ? (Oh, no!)
System RAM: ? ? GBs (MBs, if less than 1024)
Sound Card Manufacturer:
Sound Card Model:
