The problem with Infiltrator is that it encourages weak, cowardly play. Here, let me hide in a corner while invisible, destroying enemies across the map while I use my teammates to set up kills for me. Let them risk getting killed, while I get all the glory. I don't know why any inftrators would not have a back up weapon for close quarters such as a hurricane or talon. It sounds like you have had too many poor experiences with bad infiltrators. I'm sorry about that, keep your head up next time may be different.
