I just got a new computer and it is running Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit Intel HD Graphics Ivy Bridge i7 8g RAM. I was able to get NWN working on it but ramdomly these planes of black or blue with show up either taking up just a small space or covering the entire view. It is not consistant but it does happen frequently. Otherwise the game runs great. I have no idea what could be causing this. Any help is appreciated.

It seems the problem is with Unity. I installed Gnome Shell and ran NWN from there and I am not having the problem.

Well I thought it was solved but it is not. It still happens. It is just random. It only happens with NWN. I don't have any other problems with other games or any 3D graphics.
I have deleted the nwn folder and copied all the files back onto the computer but it still happens. Problem with the 32 libraries maybe?
Anyone have any ideas?

Erm, could you post a screenshot of it, maybe? I'm clueless about Ubuntu but it might help someone else.

Look in this thread on the ubuntu forums. It might be of help.

Thank you, Skildron! It worked for me like it did the poster in that thread. In the nwn file I added
export MESA_EXTENSION_OVERRIDE=-GL_NV_vertex_program
before
./nwmain $@
It is working now.
