I think the best way to replace the flood of useless character cards is to introduce new uncommon and rare consumable equipment (single use level 4 and 5 weapon, armor, and ammo mods).

When you buy a PSP and have all your weapons, characters, and equipment maxed, you're likely only getting 2-3 common items that you can use if your rares are character cards. I'd much rather receive level 4 and 5 consumables than my 100th krogan sentinel that I have no use for.

Also, it is currently polling at 92% for a change to the store.

Which poll?

lol scooterbaga, that would be your poll.

Everyone go to the polls and voice your opinion.  Evil EA and Good BioWare will respond to enough pressure.

I doubt we will ever hear from BioWare about this.

I think you're wrong.  I trust BioWare, and I think they will make the right decision fairly soon.  It didn't take long for them to respond to the Leeching once the community started complaining.  It won't take long for them to respond to this.

I don't think that they are being thieves on purpose.  Once they understand that that is how we feel about the store, they will fix the issue.

Also, it is currently polling at 92% for a change to the store.  That is a lot of support.  BioWare listens to its fanbase. They are a good company.  They will fix this.

I believe that the people at BioWare are basically good, and are very creative, but when it affect the money the game makes their EA overlords will veto anything that would cost them a revenue source, even if it improves the game significantly.  I really wish BioWare hadn't been swallowed up by EA.

Bioware has always tried their hardest to satisfy their fans.

I think they were more successful before they were swallowed by EA. It is really the lack of communication from them on this topic, and others like it, that is really frustrating.  It would be good business practice for someone to just come on the forum and say "We are working on this," particularly since it has been an issue since day 1.

I am dissapointed that they joined forces with the most evil company the world has ever seen.  Perhaps it was to save us from some global cataclysm, or the Apocolypse.  I don't know, but it does not affect my opionion of BioWare at all.  The will use the Sword of 1000 Truths if they have to, but they will fix this.  I trust them.  And they are probably the only people in the world that are worthy of the great sword.

(Yes, I know the Sword of 1000 Truths was Blizzard, don't say it.)

Yes.  Exactly.  Or Uncommon cards in Specter and PSP packs. Obviously the whole pack does not need to be rares, but instead of lower level characters/weapons, throw in some mid/high consumables.

I finally got my last 2 cards yesterday....the vorcha soldier and the cerberus adept....in a premium pack. Obviously the pack "checks" you stuff otherwise you would get a level 1 gun over and over again instead of getting the next level so why can't that same check see if your character is maxed out and give you something else like ammo or another buff....or the next gun level you don't have.

Exactly. I no longer get weapons that I have fully upgraded, but I still get characters.

Changing the store only makes more sense since the newest challenge requires playing with certain characters. What is someone supposed to do if they do not have one of the newest characters?

Obviously the chances are that someone else they play with will have one, but we shouldn't have to rely on others to complete the challenges. Everyone should be able to guarantee their own individual success.

If i get the human ****ing vanguard again I am going to lose my ****. Especially since I need 8 more character cards, and I've gotten the human vanguard at least 8 times after maxing it.

I would also love to be able to trade in ranks in one character or gun I don't use for ranks in a character or gun I do use, though I know that is a pipe dream.

Stop giving me Quarian Infiltrator. I still have characters that I have yet to unlock, only have the default weapons at level X, and my Infiltrator class is level.

Yet I got about 5 quarian infiltrators yesterday when I spent all my money.

Then I switched to QE to be different, only had her down to Secondary Color.

My face promptly melted off.

Totally agree. If I had every weapon and every character, I be less annoyed by this. However, I still have not unlocked an uncommon weapon and a few rare oness. I want to unlock more Gear as well. I wish the things we did not already have were weighted more heavily.

Giving these cards is like giving nothing at all. They need to be removed when maxed out the same as guns and gear are. Yeah that means if you have all the rares you should get an ultra rare, that seems fair to me. If you have all the rares and ultra rares then you should just get an extra equipment card instead. Seems an obvious solution.

Making characters and weapons this difficult to unlock flies in the face of everything Mass Effect is supposed to be about.  From the start of the series it has always been about choice and playing the way you want, but by restricting our access to characters and weapons this severely they are restricting how we get to play the game.

Awesome, just wanted to make sure.

Folks, please keep posting in threads like this one, and the one for the poll in my sig. Posting in them keeps them alive. The more attention the Character Card issue gets, the better.

I love random loot, I want the store to remain pretty close to how it is. However, I want to play with leveled-up characters. I don't want to be "encouraged" to promote to get the most reward value for my time spent. I want my random loot to be worth the effort it took to acquire it.

Right now the only people who don't care about the store are those who did'nt max out all there guns or people who do have everthing maxed.

I have experienced the store from both sides. I liked unlocking stuff to max all the normal guns, then after maxing all the normal guns I got Trolled by Char cards for a long time, DLCs delayed my frustration, then right back to Trolling.

Now I have everthing except gears and the Harrier maxed out, need 3 more cards for Harrier, and I do not care for the store anymore. I will probably stockpile credits for future DLC.

Believe me when I say I felt the sting of the char cards during my journey to max out my guns, no one else should have to go through that.

here is an idea.

if both the characters and classes are maxed out, give 10 lvl 3 equipment in the 1-2 rare slots.

i would much prefer having 10 of any lvl 3 equipment over another krogan soldier.

Honestly I never rly understood this complaint. Promote what you can before hand then buy your packs it should get you a few levels. then just take your low level into FWW/G/G its a win-win. Level up your guys and dont miss out on the creds

screw FBW/G/G for spamming lobbys in gold and btw you are very likley to get booted for having lvl 1 characters.

also promoting raises your N7 Rank and lots of us DONT WANT THAT.

i was perfectly happy at 360 before the last event.. its 720 now and ITS STAYING THERE.

Just trying to get my Human Female Soldier and common mods out of the way yesterday. 5 Human Vanguards (3 Male, 2 Female) , 3 Human Adepts (all Female), 3 Human Engineers (1 Male, 2 Female), 2 Soldiers (Male). All with their customization options unlocked for over a month now. I have yet to receive one, ONE, card for the Human Female Soldier.

And these are COMMONS.

So yeah, something needs to be done about the Character Cards. I don't mind getting the bonus XP, because that could help people who promote a tiny bit. But they should really have kept the Character cards as something separate like the guns, and once those are maxed out, that's it, no more.

Agreed. I love ,my salarian infiltrator, but I don't see how having 10 or more of them can help, other than starting my own STG squad :)

Good for you mate.  There's such a prevalence across gaming forums of people saying, "If I had to endure that broken [whatever] then you should too!"
