Hey, i've been having a horrible and yet embarassing problem. It appears I have lost my dead trenches! Who woulda known!? I've created several characters, checked the wiki maps and all that, I know it is the west tunnel, i've done the darn thing atleat six different times! Every time I get to the west tunnel after doing the Ortan Thaig ruin to get the journal, it's nothing, i've tried to do it before, nothing, I have probably run out of answers. If no one has a solution, I guess i'll have to look to god for help!

Isn't is the southeast tunnel out of Ortan Thaig that takes you to the Dead Trenches?

I don't think it's possible to get into the Dead Trenches. As far as I'm aware, they are just a location that you see in a cut scene, before crossing them on a bridge.

I have tried to get to the dead trenches through the underground overview and through ortan thaig, according to the maps it's the west exit in the crossing that should give you the button in the overview of the deep roads. I got nothing... oh woe is I

The Dead Trenches are to the North of where you found the Journal, either I misread it, or my game for some reason told me they were going South, but the entrance is just to the North of it, just found that out.
