I think this poll shows that nerfing this weapon is a BAD idea.

voted no, you nerf callers should work on your own game rather than volunteering your 'services' to BW by rallying the vocal minority in the forums and presuming BW wants all things vanilla and indifferent to eachother.

Really after the post I made above that, you degenerate all people who even talk about this weapon as unbalanced into some singular mind who somehow are forcing their will upon BW and that all such a person would want is to make each and every weapon do exactly the same.

I think you need to understand that:
  • The forum is a place discus these things. That doesn't mean that everyones suggestion is taken into the balance changes and you should really stop feeling threatened about such threads to the point of demanding censorship.
  • There isn't some unified nerfer faction. People see something amiss with a weapon/power/character (whether OP or underwhelming) and might make a thread discussing that. There isn't some singular group that's trying to make all weapons worthless.

It is a shame that a couple of thousand little over a hundred people can influence so many changes in multiplayer gameplay when it is tons tens of thousands more who dont even bother writing bioware to complain.

fixed

It does make you wonder. Anything that is guaranteed to represent the community as a whole would have to go through the game itself I think.

This poll shows that more than a half of players who participated don't want to nerf Krysae, while nearly one third does want. Out of people who voted against nerfing, some have to realize that weapon is OP and absurdly easy to use, but they just want it that way, for reasons not quite understandable for me.

Ok bumping this up for today. I'm going to keep this poll open a week.

Pitznik, having a gun that is "easy to use" isn't necessarily a bad thing. Not everyone has stellar eye-hand coordination. Some people have physical limitations. I actually have played with someone who has eyesight loss so this gun might be a good fit for them.

It's not OP. Try using it on big maps like Dagger. It sucks there.

Its 100% the user. I've never been outscored by someone using the krysae. I have even doubled another infiltrators score while using the BW1

I believe that biotics autohit, and weapons need to be aimed.

I also believe that weapons aren't supposed to be "easy", we have bronze for that.

And if that was an intention, to make an easy weapon, it shouldn't ever be as efficient as noneasy weapons, and never ever more effective.

By removing the "skill" requirement, you make the game accessible to some, and less interesting for others - I thought, again, that this is the reason to have three difficulty settings.

I think its about time for me to stfu and never ever post anything in Krysae/Reegar threads tbh. I'm repeating myself anyway.

The firing rythym is different for the Krysae than it is for any other sniper rifle, and it's long reload time makes it a pain when you get out of rythym.  If you are a headshot master, the BW is still a better weapon against Cerberus.

I think you should add an option for "Switch it to an Assault Rifle"
Nothing angers me more than when I am sniping with my GI and Widow X and some little kid joins the game with the Krysea I and claims to be the best sniper ever, missing most of his shots but they hit any ways since somebody thought adding tracking onto a sniper was a good idea.

Than they shouldn't be using a sniper rifle.
Snipers are supposed to be precision weapons, not aim in the general vicinity of your target and still get the kill regardless.

Hopefully the multiplayer balance changes will come out soon so this can be put to rest, at least for the time being.

Valid point was made about the poll, as well as any poll about changing a weapon that may or may not be OP. People who do believe the gun is OP but still want to abuse it will vote not to change it, or say that it shouldn't be changed. This is not the same as those who legitimately believe it isn't OP. This will inflate the no votes by some margin, though unknown.

Don't let the splash dmg benefit from TC.
Yes, that puts me in the nerfer crowd. Hate me; I don't care.

Maybe. But its a game. It's supposed to be fun. I don't mind people enjoying themselves with different things..including sniper rifles. Why can't they? Because you feel they shouldn't? Game should have something for everyone to be truly balanced - and that includes ease of use.
You find it too boring? Use a different weapon. Problem solved.
