Why Do People Hate This Game So Much?

-most characters were poorly done, some were not done at all
-autodialogue
-irrelevance of any major decision made in ME3 and in both previous games
-forcing you to feel something you don't necessarily feel
Those were just some of mine cons for ME 3. But i don't hate the game, i like it and its still my no.1 franchise.
I just wish it was more perfected.

I personally feel ME3 is still a great game, yes it has some minor issues and some major plot holes but no more then previous entry's.

Two people at Bioware are responsible for ruining what could have been a masterpiece work of art in gaming. Now it's just a tragic example of how to screw up a good thing. And if the statements about the Extended Cut are anything to go by it also demonstrates how to effectively throw away a chance to make things right.

I'm going to copy and paste this since it sums up what I feel as well.

Oh i'm sorry i didn't realise we all had to pick Skyrim or something as our own favourite game in the world. Some people could think of Barbie horse adventures or Jurassic Park Operation Genesis as the greatest game they have ever played and that's fine, their opinion is still relevant.

No, I mean you aren't capable of dealing witht he situation like an adult, airing your grievances in a civil constructive manner. Instead you throw around insults and make threats, huddled around in your little hateful echochambers.slyguy200 wrote...

Only 1 hub world. Too much auto dialogue & lack of dialogue choices. Lack of exploration. Side quests are just scan missions. I could go on.
I also think a lot of the hate has to do with the bitter taste DA2 and Star Wars has left. Bioware has cut a lot of corners recently.
All in all it's not a terrible game. Just very inconsistent. I would still buy it but I would not have paid full price for it

An adult (who isn't a passive doormat) might just be a little more serious/effective about all of this.Atakuma wrote...

Pretty sure you and yours throw plenty more insults. You are no more mature than the rest, if not less mature.

Photoshop.
Allers.
Starchild.
Space Magic.
PC CE was an $80 paperweight for 1st month until face transfer was "fixed".
4000 EMS.
Bugs.(I don't mean Rachni)
Bugs.(I mean Rachni)
etc.
This does not mean I hate the game per se. I, disapprove, of many things.

If they did then they wouldnt be so passionate about the many legitiment problems ME3 has, big and small. Some may go too far (like anything) but its completely understandable why ppl are upset in the first place.
But like the last two in the series, ME3 has its kickass moments. Still a fantastic game in my book, even more so if the problems were addressed.
Really the only time I see immaturity is when other ppl, even more immature, feel the need to belittle and insult the other "side". Like this guy-

The hate for the ending is last just "so" 60 days too old for anyone outside people posting on these forums or similar forums to care about. Probably also because it just keeps repeating itself, riling itself up to new crazier heights it would seem from my perspective (as a fairly detached, passive player). Only inside the sphere of these forums does it seem like a big deal, is my guess.
I think the mainstream audiences and the casual fans of Mass Effect 3 have completely lost the ability to indentify themselves with the disproportionate big emotional attachment some "core fan base" have to the game, which is a shame really, as the moderates kind-of drown out in the drama.
No, I wasn't fond of the ending either. But I doubt I'm going to reach the level of dislike I can see many have for it. Well, unless the hostile nature of the forums eventually brainwashes me into thinking The Ending needs my most emotional response possibly.
Anyway, let the haters hate and do their thing, it's not necessarily unconstructive, even if I disagree about how to go about it.

You didn't learn to not put everyone in the same bag, you're as immature as those who made the damn threats. And instead of following your own example, your doing the same... insulting and acting like a spoiled child.

I oftentimes find myself in agreement with Atakuma.
