I always play random matches, since I got no friends... Or mic. And lately, I can`t seem to find any good gold players.
The whole team often have a N7 800-1200, witch use to be a sign that they where decent gold players. But now we usually don`t get past wave 10, and I have to use all my medigel just to get there... I`m "always" on top of the scoreboard, and I`m not that good(and yes, I am a teamplayer).
Is this because they buffed the enemy and waves? Is it because the poor players have gotten so high ranked that they think they have to play gold? Does everyone play gold, making harder to find great players? Do all the best guys/girls only play private matces now? Is it because of the new characters and maps that people aren`t use to?
Or is it just my bad luck?

I don`t mean to whine, I just find it strange.

I'd chalk that up to bad luck.
I've only recently started to play gold, and I've run into very few bad teams.
(and when the teams are bad, they are BAD)

If they are all lvl 20s there probably flopping to skip the extract :x

I was able to find reliable Gold games until Bioware had the weekend challenges that required extraction or victory on wherever on Gold...then the bads poured in...and they stayed in.

I've run into more worse teams of late...

joining games in progress FBWGG, but not in random/random. Seems to be pretty much the same as it ever was.

Just with less Salarians.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I've mostly been playing in Private matches.

Though if I feel like playing and nobody is on, I might hop into a public game or two, searching Random/Random/Gold.

Then it puts me in so many White/Geth/Gold games... After finally having to play one of those out of sheer frustration, life gets sucked out of me and I stop playing the game awhile

I tried gold for a while but didn't like it due to it ending up being atlas/phantom/nemesis only...basically just spamming boss level enemies at you. I like silver better now as it has more variation of enemies and feels like playing on insanity in SP. I don't need the XP anymore from gold as I quit promoting as that is worthless. I just maxed all at lvl 20 and then use the respec perk every once in a while for a change.

The N7 rating doesn't mean someone is a good player, just that they have played a lot.

Another thing....vanguards....Vanguards are like spandex...you should have to get a permit first to be able to use either. I will leave a lobby if the previous game had some vanguard biotic charging then dead all mission long. I also won't revive the ones that play stupid. We are better off playing as 3 then trying to revive an idiot vanguard.

There has been new players lately on the ps3, I'm not sure if the price has dropped or something, but I have been seeing a lot more lower n7 players using lower level equipment.

Of course I guess it could be people starting new accounts so they can replay the mp experience. Though for the life of me I can't understand why anyone would want to have to face the wraith of the random store from the start again.

True, but with the new objectives it`s way harder for them to just bunker down on WGG

1. You get more credits playing Gold than you do in Silver. So it is definitely worth playing. Which is why I don't blame people that FBWGG farm all day, but I just don't understand how they keep their interest in the game doing so.

2. There are a lot more players that have average N7 ratings that have played more than some people with higher N7. The difference is that many of the high rating N7 people play with a good team - promoting characters, buying packs, and obtaining Gold character cards more often than somebody that just plays FBWGG with random people all day.

I think a lot of the better gold players joined one of the several player groups on the forums.

We're always looking for more in the group in my sig. There's also the legion effect. You should look one of us up.

EDIT: I should say, our group is only on pc, whereas I think the legion effect is cross platform.

Admittedly, I don't play Gold often, but having read how Geth perform on Gold, Silver has been pretty busy as of late.

I've noticed the same while playing randoms. I'm usually top of the leader board by a significant margin, and the squad as a whole would be lucky to clear wave 4.

I can't find a good Gold match today either. Only one extraction in ~15 attempts.

Gold seems easier than Silver since the update on XBL.
