It's pretty plain that while DA2 has its advocates, on the whole it is less well-regarded than DAO. Many bhave offered suggestions as to why that is. Many have firm opinions on the matter and have hitherto been unafraid to state them without regard to properiety or the facts of the matter.

There is a simple correlation that determines the quality of games. The correlation is based upon sound statistical methodology and is nigh incontravertible. This is not opinion. It is fact.

DAO had a minimum of twelve halla. DA2 had none. DAO was considered one of the better games of its year. DA2 received more muted plaudits.

The conclusion to be drawn is obvious. THe more halla a game has, the better it is received. Admittedly the sample size is small. But the distinction is there.

What Bioware needs to do to hedge their bets and increase the odds of any future DA games being well received is to radically and dramatically increase the number of halla in game. Two herds of twenty each should do the trick.

Hmm. I'll need to file this suggestion under "More Cowbell!", I guess.
