I had to reformat my computer and I attempted to save myself some time by backing up my steam and origin games, then putting them back where they were after reinstalling Windows 7. Unfortunately, this seems to have irrevocably flagged a lot of random files as read-only, and this has caused no end of grief.
The current issue is that my options preferences appear to be frozen at the point they were before the Great PC Unmaking. Any change I make doesn't come back the next time the game starts.
Probably what's happening is that those changes are written to some file somewhere (probably documents/bioware/masseffect3) and it's not updating properly. Thus far I haven't been able to find the file, but if I do I can probably just delete it and the game will make a clean one that works (this has been the case before).
tl;dr Anyone know where Mass Effect 3 preferences (volume, key bindings, and the like) are saved?
