Champion's shield from Rica. I chose the dwarf casteless origin, then when coming back to Orzamaar and going into the diamond quarter, I went with Rica to the assembly. That's where I pickpocketed the shield.

Stats: 

Defense: 3
Fatigue: 3.13
Missile defense: 5.06
Strength Modifier: 1
+12 Defense

I have no idea if you get this as a reward for anything, as I haven't gone through Orzamaar yet, but I thought I'd share for those playing a casteless Dwarf Rogue.

are you sure that wasn't from Vartag? you're supposed to get that one off of Vartag (twice even!)

I pickpocketed that awesome shield from the dwarven assembly secretary (Bandalor?) when he comes out from the meeting, the first time you visit that place in the Diamond Quarter.

I got mine from Vartag, but by the time I found out about the thing, he'd already moved to the Palace, so I could only get the one.



I actually like the thing. I like the way the Large Round Shields look in terms of sheer size, and the maker's mark on it is actually kind of impressive.

I can't recall where I got them, but in my current game I have _two_ Champion's shields in my Inventory. May very well have been by pickpocketing as I pickpocket EVERYONE I can. Anyway, wouldn't be surprised that there's even more of them out there to be had.

You get the shield from pickpocketing Vartag. You can steal it from him twice, once when he is standing outside the assembly and when he is standing outside bhelen's room.

According to the Wikia, you can actually get a third one. To do that, you need to agree to tell the Dace's and the Helmi's about Harrowmont's double dealing, then turn around and do the Proving for Harrowmont. Apparently, Vartag will show up and confront you about it, and you can steal the third one from him then.

In other words, the ONLY source of the shield is Vartag, and once stolen, his Inventory "refreshes" for the next unique scene.

[Thinking back, I did, in fact, pickpocket Vartag 1) outside of the Assembly, and 2) just before I killed him outside of the King's bedchamber.]
