You're underestimating the number of people on the fence that can be swayed by properly-done "clarification".  

It's a mix of semi-pro-enders, anti-enders, IT-ers ... the works.

Granted, she may not be talking about the EC, but it is a possiblity.

The actual numbers are really hard to gague. People who are angry about something are far more likely to speak up than people who are content or who just feel "meh" about it. I know about 10 people IRL who have completed ME. Out of that group, only 1 of them is genuinely angry about the end of the game, and he is VERY vocal about it. Out of the 9 who are somewhere in between "It's a weak cop-out" and "I actually enjoyed it," I am the only one who is actually on the forums and surveys mucking up the hate stats with my sunshine and cyborg ponies.

While I could try and rally the rest of these people to my pro-ending cause, most of them either don't care enough, or don't want to get anywhere near the vitriol that has been the online fanbase, so I wouldn't have much success.

I'm not saying my particular subsection of the general ME fan population is an accurate representation of the whole. I'm just saying that even online stats aren't going to cover the entire population base simply because a lot of people don't bother to interact with the gaming community, even though they are gamers.

   Taboo, you misunderstand me.  I DO NOT think of women as tools for men.  They are much more than that to me.  I am simply stating that I am sexually attracted to women and I can be a bit vocal about it sometimes.  I apologize if I have offended anybody. 

   I am just an ardent admirer of the female form.  It is a beautiful work of art and yes, I will agree that there is much more to a woman than that, like a woman who has a charming personality that would make me fall in love with such a person.

What track record do you percieve them having exactly?  If you think it's so poor that it's likely the EC will be crappy as well, then what were you doing playing the Mass Effect series even up to this point.  If you're like most anti-enders I've encountered that think the ending alone was the problem, then the track record would predict that the EC has a better chance of being good.
