I use to play Baulder's gate2 and I had an option to create a warior then duel class him to a roague at a certain level. This class was very fun to play and powerful due to backstab ability and able to wear mail armor. Can this class be created on DAOrigins?

Is it viable?

not without mods.

you should choose a rogue if you want to back-stab, you could wear heavier armour but would be best suited wearing light armour.

I use to enjoy the sneaking about and back stabbing style. I could do huge damage witht eh BS then let my grp finish mobs off. I also liked the scouting ahead element so I could plan attacks in stealth. Looks like this kind of duel class isnt avalable.

im just playing through as an AW now, its alot of fun. not least becuase you can wear some decent looking armour instead of boring robes and ridiculous hats haha.

BTW, someone should tell you, It's not Bauder's Gate or Baulder's Gate. It's Baldur's Gate. Don't commit heresy by misspeling it.[smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/surprised.png[/smilie]

You would have to reverse here. You can be a good warrior and use rogue skills at the same time easilly. Spending some money on the ability books would be a good idea, as always.

You can quite easily start with a warrior and then add the rogue class with the console. This lets you backstab, and opens up the rogue talents as well as letting you pick locks and disarm traps, so it's in essence dual classing. However, whereas in BG2 this comes with an exp penalty, there are no drawbacks for it in DA. But whatever makes the game more enjoyable for you, go for it.

what? you only get to play once? pick something that sounds fun and go with it.

Rogues already have a lot of overlap with warriors compared to other games.

They can wear any armor/weapons and their abilities aren't restricted any (outside of fatigue costs and archery penalties for the heaviest armor.)

Play a Strenght based Rogue and you pretty much have that same class. It's also one of the highest DPS builds in the game. Seriously people, what's with all the complicating?
