You don't know Wrex?

I was up to the last part of rescuing the female Krogan when that Atlas Mech dropped in. I heard Wreav saying 'If that Female dies there will be no support.' I had Liara (because of the Shadowbroker joke) and Javik with me. After what Wreav said Liara say 'This Krogan is not very nice I miss Wrex.'
Hold it. In Mass Effect I kill Wrex in Vamire before I pick up Liara. How could she know Wrex?

EDIT: upon further consideration, I'm fairly sure that there wasn't a flag for when in ME1 Liara was released from her bubble, so there's no way Bioware could have known which players to trigger a non-Wrex line for. Even had they wanted to.

Also, its the same thing on the Geth dreadnaught I had legion go thru the ventilation shaft in the collector base but Tali comments about hating vents.

It just seems worse than it is because there are so many other problems with the game.

The OP shouldn't be complaining because a line of dialogue that is given by both Wrex and Wreave is commented on by Liara when the OP killed Wrex on Virmire.
An obvious line of dialogue that doesn't need to exist if Wrex is killed on Virmire.
WREX IS KILLED ON VIRMIRE.
Never mind when Wrex and Liara would have met or could have met or sat together and had brunch just to talk.
A line of dialogue exists when it has no reason to exist. That shows how lazily one of the games most touted and adored sections of gameplay is actually put together.
And it shouldn't be complained about????????? It's ok because other instances where dialogue shouldn't be present, is present??????????

The complaint was actually about Liara's line referencing Wrex, whom she had never met. Personally, I wasn't even aware that you could do Virmire before recruting Liara, and thus making this a potential problem.

I'd file it under the "bigger things to worry about than this" cabinet.

In case I didn't make it clear, I agree 100%. Next thing we know, he'll be freaking out over the fact that if you have subtitles on and killed Samara to get Morinth, then her lines are tagged as Samara speaking (specifically on Ilium for sure).

Another case where Bioware didn't create unique dialogue for that eventuality. Garrus still talks about being there during the hunt for Saren even if you didn't recruit him in ME1. I can't remember exactly what, but I believe there's some shenanigans with Legion/his replacement's dialogue if you handed him over to Cerberus in ME2.
EDIT: upon further consideration, I'm fairly sure that there wasn't a flag for when in ME1 Liara was released from her bubble, so there's no way Bioware could have known which players to trigger a non-Wrex line for. Even had they wanted to.
They don't have to do a lot of additional work. They can just simply cut out the dialogue after doing a check to see when you recruited Liara in ME1 and then list it as one of the fixes in a patch.

They created different lines of dialogue for both Wrex and Wreav, that should be enough for everyone.

Laziness??
Hindsight is gold, I am sure if you were in charge of ME, you "would" be able to foresee how the series plays out over the next 5 years AND be able to flag everything correctly. Please forgive Bioware for they are not Gods nor do they have that Crystal Ball you have.
I am sure "all knowing you" will know that events should not be simply flagged but they should also record the sequence of those events playing out. Five freaking years ago.
Yeah, you may complain about it today but if you were the developer, I would bet my soul that you would not have foreseen saving such information. Wait... the ability to code requires one to be able to at least understand "logic" or think logically.
No wonder Bioware and other developers now make games that are more linear because people just like to complain for the sake of complaining.

Because I like the reactions when she seen Shepard for the first time in here dig sight and when in the Normandy when she finds out that Shepard knows more about the Protheans in seven days then Liara dose in fifty years.
Don't worry still have plenty of quests to do with Liara afterwards in Mass Effect after escaping from the Citadel. I make sure of that.
As for other replies, I just questioning that is all. She maybe know of Wrex as the Shadowbroker?
Or she bumped into Wrex before the two of them met Shepard. I just seeing through Shepard eyes that is all. I know its a small error and not game breaking but is there a problem in questioning in this forum.
