got ME3 a couple months ago, had a blast playing. reading everyone's thoughts on the ending and love of original and ME2 spurred me into getting the original from Steam with the intent of working through the saga.

interface seems clunky coming from the current incarnation, and while i've figured out some stuff - weapon mods, the door unlocking, after 10-15 minute of mashing keys and exploring options i couldn't figure out how to bind my Adept biotic abilities to the Qbar slots.

i'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how to set it up...


figure this thread could also be used by other noobs like me that have similar q's.

Should be drag and drop, just as in the latter two games. As I recall it did miss sometimes and seemed to think you were clicking some way to the side of where the cursor actually was. When this happened I found that either the see through ability icon was dragging up to the corner okay but was almost impossible to place correctly, or it was nearly impossible to pick up the right one in the first place. Saving and reloading generally did the trick for me. It happened often enough that I often didn't bother with the bar and just brought up the full screen instead, which you have to do to use squadmate powers anyway. IMO for that second reason the bar is only of limited use until ME2 anyway.
