It looks like there is a camera in the other goal, so either they are refusing to show it or they only have it in one goal which is just odd. Again the fifth official does absolutely nothing, he was looking right at it and on the line.

Yes, but I have money on Sweden 1-0 France with Ibrahimovic scoring the only goal and England 1-0 Ukraine with Rooney scoring the only goal. I need money slightly more than points, which does mean I'm open to bribes lol.
Ibrahimovic's goal was an absolute ****** too, it was one of those goals where you just knew it was going to happen as the play built up.

I'll take my 10 points now, maybe a sour taste to that victory but still a victory.

So England beat Ukraine and top the group and will play Italy in the quarters then (which start tomorrow do they not?), didn't see the Rooney goal though heard it was a bit of a fluke though once again it came from another good Gerrard cross.

Funny thing: It was a goal, but the guy was offside. So in that one attack, two mistakes were made, the second, by accident, correcting for the first..

Gotta say it....these results are not what i expected...but in a good way ^.^ I was listening to a little radio show from the uk, and i didin't like how the england fans were saying that supposedly sweden were a weaker side, because that was one of the few matches that I was able to see in the entirety, and sweden did not play badly at all. England in fact did get kinda lucky, but luck plays a big role in who wins what. However, one thing that was very good to see was how england played. I did not get to see their match against the ukraine, but it was night and day from the world cup. There was *gasp* an actual desire to play!
I thought spain might not be as dominant as they have been, boy was I wrong. Just the sheer quality of the goals.
France losing 2 nil is a huge shocker. I did not see the match, but France had been looking very strong. It had not been apparent to me since...but Benzema has improved tremendously in his time at Real Madrid. While at first he seemed unsure, even timid of what to do in front of goal when he first arrived there, now he has the striker's hunger and desire for the goal...and thats all he or she needs tbh. Its got to be a voracious hunger to score, to make every strike a challenge to the keeper. Hehe, and if you are Xavi/Mesut etc....the midfielder to get him the beautiful pass to send him on his way

Agreed, modjo. France had a shocker of a game. By contrast, Netherlands had a shocker of a tournament. I can't imagine what sort of criticisms would be bandied about if that had been England...
I am aiming for a mid-table finish meself, much like Norwich who got promoted to the Premier League last season and finished mid-table. Would seem apt since this is my first pool....
