But there will be penality shoot outs. England always loses in penality shoot outs.

I do genuinely want England to win. It's just, the team keeps letting us down.
I get my hopes up at the start of every tournament then I end up crying when we lose

I have rather low expectations of England's successes this time round myself. But then again, I never really had high expectations of them progressing very far anyway. Still support them and get disappointed and stuff, but then I do realise that England aren't world beaters like the media sometimes portray them.

In terms of football songs....I have to admit I did like Three Lions back in the day.

Germany played good, they slowed down their play after the first goal but after the equalizer realized they couldn't make that mistake again..
I hope Löw will start with Reus and Schurrle the next match as well, they made the game faster and more interesting to watch

Looks like I wasn't the only one who started to do other things during Spain - France... god that was boring

What happened to England's new humility and acceptance that they aren't favourites? All I've heard this week is that Gerrard has been brilliant and one of the captains of the tournament(whatever that means), there's a team of English bulldogs ready to beat anyone and that Joe Hart has been the best keeper in the tournament, what exactly has he done? Other than costing atleast one goal against Sweden by not coming for a cross. People seem all impressed by Gerrard actually playing his position too, like this suddenly makes him amazing. It seems to me he just doesn't have the legs to go charging out of position leaving huge gaps anymore. I'm all for confidence but the English media are going way too far, again.

Tonight's game will be interesting, Italy haven't really looked impressive since the first game and are still a bit of an unknown quantity. England have yet to be tested with anyone trying to get behind them, France basically played their entire attack in midfield happy to shoot from distance, Sweden played Ibrahimovic in midfield and didn't have anyone with pace looking to get behind, Ukraine had no real quality. So it will be interesting to see if Italy try to get Balotelli or Di Natale in behind the defence and see if it ruffles a few feathers. Given Italy's defensive concerns, England could throw Carroll up front and see how they cope in the air. I just hope its more interesting than last nights match.

Decent game though, Italy have looked the better team as the half went on. Balotelli doesn't really look up for it for some reason. De Rossi's effort that hit the post was a hell of a strike.

Italy were leagues ahead of England tonight, England didn't even deserve to get to penalties. I think Italy need a proper striker going forward though, how does Balotelli get into the team?

Perhaps pundits and the media will finally mention that Rooney has been utter crap for months, constantly giving the ball away and not looking up for it. It seems to have been glossed over because he was scoring goals but alot of Uniteds attacks broke down because of Rooney. He looks just as bad for England.

Like i said, whoever wins this game, would not stand a chance with Germany. No accuracy at all for both. Balotelli was just pure crap.

I think if United got a big enough offer for Rooney, Sir Alex would take it. He was subbing him alot towards the end of the season and appeared to finally be getting fed up with the sub-par performances. When you're paid over £200k a week, the least you can do is keep the bloody ball. No doubt Hodgson, Cole or Young will be made the scapegoat for England though.
