Yeah I think Fabregas screwed quite a few people out of some points on here including myself, Torres had a superb first goal though he had some help from inept defending.

Interesting last games for that group, Croatia may find themselves getting to the quarter-finals if they can somehow hold off Spain, or hope for a result from Italy's game with Ireland.

15 points for me tonight then? Not bad I guess.

Italy 1-1 Croatia. A well fought draw and fairly decent game.

Spain 4-0 Ireland. Spain humiliated Ireland, it didn't even look like they were playing the same sport for much of the match. It was at times a joy to watch.

Is it just me or was everyone else expecting Sweden vs. England this evening. My eyes are playing tricks on me as I see France playing England right now......

This will mess up the pool.....

EDIT: never mind. A replay..... D'oh.

LMAO. Yeah the France - Ukraine game was abandoned due to crazy assed rain and thunderstorms. According to the Irish coverage it's dying down a bit now and will restart at 6pm. It's given them time to go to Trappatoni's press conference where the media get to grill him and make him a scapegoat.

In my defence (excuse....) ITV weren't running the notice of the match being delayed at the time.....*cough* They did later though.....

But I would still have expected something different on I suppose when matches are abandoned; at least I'm sure that's what they used to do...back in the old days.

Incidentally, rather surprised to see my name at the top of the list at the moment. That's a strange sight....

I did notice that, I flipped over and they were just giving the England line up, I thought it was for the Sweden game but then realised it was a replay. Dunno why they neglected to run it along the bottom that the France - Ukraine game was postponed like RTE were doing. RTE just went back to the studio for a good old argument between pundits, strange decision just to replay the England game.

Kind of annoyed they are leaving this press conference to go back to the match, it was very interesting.

Pressure at the top getting to you? All eyes on you now, waiting for you to slip up, Europe watches, anticipating your mistakes. Some would say....its yours to lose.

I think my inability to spot it was a replay without the info bar just about sums up the amount of attention I've been paying to the Euros. So far I've only ever bothered to catch the second half of the first match and foregoing the late match.

Cool. England actually beat Sweden in a competitive match. Prediction a little off, but currently in an 'I don't care mood'.

Personally I'm still waiting for that pear..... Mind you, I have gotten into the spirit of this prediction malarky by shouting at the TV to tell teams to score or not to score (whatever benefits me) or I will use very bad language directed towards them.....

That made me lol obaka. Im curious though, how well does that strategy work for you??

Ok, for tommorrow, Russia beats Greece and Poland and the Czech Republic draw, just my humble predictions.

Did anybody see the Sweden and England match? That was probably one of the most entertaining matches I have seen in a while, no joke. The quality of the football was world class, and Welbeck's goal, if that was intentional or not, was superb. Great match, start to finish.

I don't think Welbeck meant it, it looked to me like he was trying to control it and it hit his heel because he was off-balance.

I'm going to have to stop watching football or I'm going to wind up with a smashed tv. Cutting away to look at people in the crowd/managers/players posing while the ball is in play drives me up the wall. I turned the BBC over because they were going on about what a great reaction from Rooney to the first goal, he smiled. So I thought, they are going to keep at this and I'm going to get increasingly annoyed. So RTE, England score the second or third and commentator complains that Rooney isn't smiling enough!!! If someone isn't on the pitch, unless they have their ****** out, then I really don't need to see them.

Is tomorrow prediction day?

Hair-raising stuff from the England game from both sets of fans' point of view. Never would have thought that we would give up a lead then bounce back from trailing a goal.

Not that Hodgson was any different from any other manager when he chose Carroll to start and to sub Walcott on for Milner, but those were 2 spot on decisions for him to make for this game and the reason England were able to get those goals.

I suppose we should expect Kimo giving the marching orders for the next round's predictions soon. Still yet to make mine.

Anticipating that I'll be missing most of the matches tomorrow I best make me predictions here (before the usual bulk prediction). So...

Game 17: Czech Republic 2-1 Poland

Game 18: Greece 0-2 Russia

As for my strategy, modjo. Hit-and-miss. Tis why I'm not a betting man; I suck at it.

If you want you can post your predictions for this round, as long as you do before the first match today starts.

It was one of the better matches to watch but France - Ukraine was interesing as well, I got home, got some food and drinks, ready to watch the match...for 4 minutes:pinched:

We do need some prizes for the winner(s), anyone suggestions?
