You're right sorry for the insult.

But the point still stands.  A SUPERNOVAE?

No harm done.

And there are too many freaky things about the game. The fact you are killing gaint machines that want to harvest all life in the galaxy that want to kill you to save you is one of them.

My assumption, however, is that the catalyst at least had protection in his chamber. He will be very stupid if he wouldn't have it. The protection was obviously not strong enough to make a complete undamage. But is was enough for Shep to survive

"His chamber" is simply the connection between the crucible and the citadel, save for field to keep in oxygen, its exposed to space.

I still don't think you all are comprehending my actual point, so I am going to stop trying.

Also, I want to point out that I am not trying to prove IT wrong or argue over elements of a piece of fiction, I am just trying to provide perspective from a faction outside of the IT crowd.

And this is just another example of the IT crowd that we've all seen countless times - The inability to resist making personal attacks on anyone not in line with their thinking, or who are too 'stupid' to have all the information they do.

Maybe this person didn't read the codex. Does that make it necessary to attack him? Maybe you could have just given him the information he needed and therefore could think about the points your trying to make without a jaded point of view.

You guys might be able to win more people to your side if you didn't constantly ****** everyone else off.

@Balance: For me, it still comes back to the point that he makes impact on the planet that caused an insane amount of damage, and it's ridiculous to assume that his brain 100% survived without any damage whatsover when by all accounts, the rest of his body was apparently mush. And again, that's not even my primary point, which is that as ridiculous as this is to me personally, and probably to a few other people, I don't over analyze it, I accept that I am playing a game and just move on. Besides, I feel like we've had this coversation before, something about seeing the same data and pulling out different results...

I apologies..

It's far more believable than Frankesntein's experiment and that's a literary classic.

Sigh... Right, so how did Shepard live through that when doesn't even have armor.

Because of the same reason how he survived planetfall.
And the Citadel doesn't have quantum fileds.
If they were, people inside would be completely unaware what's happening around them.

Something being a literary classic means nothing, really. The story isn't about the science behind assembling Frankenstein's monster, besides the fact that the story exists in a genre where that kind of experiment is a normal Tuesday for most mad scientists.

Also, one may seem more logical than the other to you, but I put them in the same camp of ludicrous to be perfectly honest.

True, it doesnt confirm IT, it would just support if it were true.

Try attaking some of ITs main pillars... like shepards srvival of the citadel explsion and edning up on earth?

The cables.

Soooo. The generic cables strewn throughout the game, enveloped shepard and protected him from the explosion than desroyed the citadel (the citadel material can survive the wake of a supernovae), and then gently placed him on earth? ok then.

Who said anything about gentle? All we see is a chest taking a breath. For all we know under that rubble Shep is missing a leg, an arm, and one of his eyes.

So he still survived a explosion stronger than supernovae, right?

A supernova, where are you getting this rubbish?

The explosion had to be stronger than the wakeof a supernovae since it destroyed the citadel.

He didn't survive, he was meat and bones. It took two years, brilliant minds, and the most advanced tech credits can buy to bring him back. He didn't survive anything...

This is what's so funny of IT'ers. They do whatever they can to turn irrelevant things into "evidence" and then post it here to tell everyone this proves that IT is true and insults anyone that disagrees.Just look at the Carnifex. It had unlimited ammo in the ending and they took that as "evidence" but a lot of games do that because if you ran out of ammo while walking toward the beam, you're f*cked.

Honestly it's almost not worth trying to post an opinion that's not IT. There's plenty of people on both sides of the fence that are militant about whether or not this theory is true, but it seems like even when people are just trying to pose their own opinions the IT crowd takes it as an attack on their entire theory.

Exaclty. If Shepard can breath there, it means there WAS some sort of protection in his chamber- Or whatever it's called (I know you want it to be a point for IT, but it can work both ways, you see...)

Please watch this before you go further, there's far more going on with the gun than you're giving it credit for. It's only 4 and a half minutes, but the end is the most important. Watch it all though.

EDIT: This is the video I meant.

Which is still essentially impossible. Where should be no body at all.
It would be safer to assume, that he is clone with VI in his head.

The citadel is made from the same ultra strong material as the relays, this material can withstand the wake of a super nova.

http://masseffect.wi...wiki/Mass_Relay

Please try to keep up.

While i agree Shepard still shouldn't be able to survive, that isn't a supernova level explosion.  the Citadel could withstand it. Clearly if the Alpha relay can be destroyed using that asteroid, it can't survive a supernova explosion close up. It's from an unspecified distance away. I imagine if this explosion happened outside the Citadel, it'd be fine. The codex isn't accounting for an explosion from within the Citadel.

Still a huge explosion though.

Why would Sovereign bother with that if Saren wasn't capable of fighting it?

Indoctrination is two-edged sword. If victim understands that it is indoctrinated, it could commit suicide, or fry its brain trying to overcome the Reapers. Obviously, none of this results is satisfying for them.

And yet Saren is still capable of commiting suicide. Are you saying it had no effect? That Saren's ability to resist was not affected?

I expected a thread about a fan theory to be more open to those other than just the believers. I am assuming you all want more converts, yes? The best way to do that is to helpfully deal with their opinions instead of taking everything as an attack against a fan theory.

Besides, you're in a forum for discussing the game itself, did you expect only IT Crowd enthusiasts? Also, I don't give a damn what the retakers believe, I didn't fall in line with them either.
