For some reason when I was given this update it didn't work well for me
Something about having to reinstall because I modified some files!!

I get the same message. I didn't modify the mentioned file. So, like many others, I'm still on 1.04.

Which isn't a big deal, since the 1.05 patch only addresses problems with DLC authentication (which I never had) and with some older graphic cards.
