Hi,
When watching the dialog scenes, you don't see the full picture, it cuts the edges off. If you switch to 4:3 mode its fine.
No problems on any 4:3 mode setting, but issue occurs on all wide screen sizes.
I've installed Patch 1.02. Running via HDMI cable from a ATI Raedon 4700 to Panasonic 42" TV.
Though issue also occurs on a standard widescreen monitor also.
Hope someone knows how to fix.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. As a matter of interest - If you create a new mage character. When you get to the first response prompt, in 4:3 mode your char is fully viewable with space on right side, while in 16:9 mode, only part of the head is visible.
What video card do you use?

I run 2 nvidia 285 gtx's and I do notice that in many cutscenes you do not see the entire picture, mainly the top. I do play the game in 1920 x 1080. I have several other games I play in the same resolution and have no problems with.

I never noticed this, but I don't ever run anything in non-wide modes.
Sometimes companies achieve the widescreen ratio by cropping the image, so some of it is 'lost".
No idea if they did this on DA:O though.

Are you using a 16:9 mode (standard wide screen) or 16:10 mode (ultra wide)
Running a 16:10 resolution on a 16:9 monitor will cut off about an inch on each side.

Thank for your responses, sadly they have'nt resolved the issue.
I have access to a PC and a Dell 1545 laptop. (which has a ATI raedon HD4330 card)
The laptop runs at 1366x768 which DOA sees as 16:9 widescreen. This also shows the same issue. I've tried running the game in XP, Vista x64 and Windows 7 Ultra, with latest video and patches.
On my PC I've used a Gigabit 7800 and a ATI Raedon 4780 running Windows 7 - same issue with both cards.
I can select any 4:3 mode in the game and the clip scenes are fine, but use any mode of 16:9 or 16:10 and the image is oversized, which causes the problem.
Maybe someone could try my suggestion above and see if they experience the same issue. While it's not a massive issue, it is still an annoyance.

I have a thought! You have an ATI card, have you been tweaking your settings in the Catalyst Control Center? There's a setting for Avvivo Video. Could it be yours is set to Theater Mode?

Looked at the Avivo mode on my laptop, wasn't set. And the problem occurs with my Nvidea card as well

Thank you for all your responses, they are appreciated, Can I ask someone to do this test, as I'm begining to think this is a game issue which nobody has noticed before. In which case I can stop going insane trying to fix.
1. Change the ingame video mode to any 4:3 mode.
2. Create a new human mage character.
3. Hit escape several times to skip the scenes, until you get to your response request.
4. Wait for the clip to stop and look at your character on the right hand side.
5. Quit game and and change to any 16:9 mode and repeat.
Compare the difference, if your seeing the same amount of information, then I have an issue, but if the 16:9 image looks "zoomed in" then it most likely is a game issue.
Thanks

I'm guessing it is a game issue. I have several other games I play in 16:9 and have no issue what so ever.
