Will Dragon Age 3 be the last in the DA series?

The Morrigan and god baby questions, what happened to them? Where did Hawk and the DA2 characters go after the end of the game, and will we ever see any of these characters again in perhaps, DA4?
I'm hoping that there will be a game, whether it's DA3, or maybe even DA4, that will bring everything to a conclusion and that answers a lot of questions that I have about The DA episodes, and the characters we've come to know.

I could see them writing up a game to definitively finish up an "arc", I guess. If they were looking to move the focus of the series up to tevinter or somewhere, or jump forward in time by a big chunk, then it would make sense to do a game which could give a strong sense of closure to the Fereldan region.

I hope not, DAO's ultimate sacrifice and Morrigan was incredibly memorable. The blank state warden reacted accordingly to what I'd imagined, especially Cousland. Hard to expect anything like that in future BioWare's games.
God baby may possibly be handwaved. I wish it isn't the case tho. But it probably be the best if I write the story myself.schalafi wrote...

No idea. Don't care wherever that be. They don't concern me anymore. I don't choose Hawke to romance anyone in my playthoughs. So they're all get seperated.schalafi wrote...

I hope not although Hawke may possibly return as non playable character in DA 3.schalafi wrote...

Yes, but I don't expect much. The only important decision I would like to carry over is Dark Ritual, Morrigan and the baby or my ultimate sacrifice wardens. None of that would transfer properly without retconing my ultimate sacrifice warden through Awakening. ( which I refuse to do ) while the god baby is almost certain get handwaved.schalafi wrote...

I wonder how they're planning to have console players import saves when the new consoles arrive. Especially on PS3 where several games don't even allow you to copy a save.
I didn't know Bioware made PS3 in the first place! Wow.. err don't buy PS3?

They'd just put in a mechanism that'd allow you to select what decisions you made. In fact, it looks like they'll be doing that anyway to avoid all the buggy imports.

I hope so. Though it has to be better than what they did with the porting of ME2 on PS3.
About the OT, I don't think they'll do DA3 ad the last game of the IP. There are too many things (the mage-templar war, the conflict between Morrigan and Flemeth, the probably Qunari invasion, a spoiler plot) that couldn't be put in a single game.

They're not planning on DAIII being the last one. They've said it wouldn't be and that there will be games after it. But if DAIII tanks horribly, it will probably be the last one.

ME2's Interactive Comic was severely lacking in options, and that was only for the choices made in one game. Either they severely downgrade the references of DA1-3 in DA4 or they have to find a way to make a transfer over consoles. Luckily, the (in)ability to copy a save for PS3 lies with the devs.

Frankly, I'm not interested in Morrigan (she never had a child from my view). They could never mention her or the Warden again, and I'd be fine (actually the Warden died from what I can remember, so I don't expect them to really be mentioned).
I would battle an army of mutant shrimp to be able to play Hawke again and finish that story (I bet it turns out they could have done the expansion and it would have all worked out the same as far as whatever game they're doing now), but I trust they'll at least try to give closure for the story and characters there.
I hope there will never be a game that tries to answer everything or to conclude all the threads that have been woven the past few years. Some things aren't meant to be known. It's just that simple.
