cerb vid either coming later today or tomorrow morning. do you guys think a short tutorial vid would be helpful? i think everything's laid out pretty clearly between the guide and commentary vid, but some people are still having trouble.

Interesting gameplay. However your Vanguard relies on the Reegar and I feel it will become less than useful when the "nerf all things" movement will finally succeede in its plan,because we all know they will.

I should wrote my own topic about this. I mean did they know for most players who play randoms matches with really bad teams "decent weapons" are our only chance to complete the mission?

Of course not! They complete their games with skilled friends and found powerful weapons too boring, not "honorable". So what? Do they think who play with random teams don't have to right to have fun?

I wrote that because in the OP video the Reegar made a very fun gameplay and I'd like to see it again in the future.
Just take this Vanguard give him a standard shotgun and make him playing with players who join Gold lobbies just to be carried (I found countless of them everyday) How do you think he will end? Dead, after wasting all of the mission consumables.

Sorry if I went a little off topic. Every time I come here I saw a nerf the Reegar and nerf the Krysae topics, then I saw a fun Reegar gameplay and I thought it may become history in no time.

If someone has a suggestion for another weapon to use on Gold I'll be glad to hear because we know the Reegar will not last long, at least as we know because:
"Suffer not the powerful weapon to live"

i don't know how many times i have to say this: the reegar does not carry the class. many people here have played with me, ask them if i suddenly go from demigod to nonfactor when i switch to a different gun. how are you going to watch one video and tell me what my vanguard has to or doesn't have to use?

the people on these forums, i swear.

edit: i have listed several guns, many of which (save the hurricane, because i don't have it) i have used myself and had success with. you want a different gun? read the guide. you will not see 'TAKE THE REEGAR OR YOU'LL BE WORTHLESS' anywhere in it. i promise.

As Arelex already stated, there is a list of best overall weapons suited for this class in the OP. All of them are viable on gold. Check it out.

I have played with Arelex many times, and I can guarantee you that he is doing no worse when he is not using the Reegar on his Pheonixguard. I played with him when he was using the Talon, and in no way did his overall performance drop like you would like to think. Some of the bigger targets took slightly longer to go down, and some of the other ones didn't require a point blank range for the Talon to be effective (unlike the Reegar). It doesn't really make that much of a huge difference overall, not when playing with him, anywayz. You still have to make smart use of Smash, Lash and Charge, wich Arelex demostrated very nicely in his vids. And its that smart use of abilities that makes the class functional, not the weapons supposedly carrying it. If you don't play it smart, it doesnt really matter whether you use the Reegar or the N7 Eagle (read: you will drop like a fly while being exposed for prolonged periods of time, when using Smahs and Lash).

Word, I love this class. I personally like to put points into fitness, which go towards the melee damage, great guide!

Great vid! You confirmed my theory that a build without lash will work great. I do like lash on the adept; but not so much on the vanguard.

I saw the video and I don't get this post. I expected somewhat different or special thing from that link. But actually it is again glacier(sick of glacier) and even worse player is holding regar. It is not the video of Cerberus vanguard, it is just vanguard with op reegar. Ur devotion to this post is not bad but nothing special IMO.

Been trying to do things with this class and it hasn't been going to well. I actually prefer the Adept, as you don't have to juggle points around with Charge I'll put those reset cards to work and try some of your builds.

I have played this guy on PC, dont know about consoles, he seems to be fun, but something is wrong with him... He is extremely weak, he goes down like a little girl... Really, he cannot take any damage. I have tried all the classes on gold, this guy goes down so fast... The regular human vanguard can take a lot more damage. I have heard similar reports from other people.

I can verify this, the Cerberus Vanguard is more reliant on his powers. He just happens to have used the Reegar in the first vid.

The Novaguard has invincibility frames for Nova meaning he can easily abuse Charge. The key to the Smashguard is to keep out of the line of fire, smashing through walls and tearing enemies away from large group with Lash before bio'sploding them with Charge. Also remember that both the melees from the Smashguard have 50% DR iirc.

I never said he succeeded only thank to the Reegar. I just wanted to write a coment about all the "nerf this, nefr that" topics and when I saw the Reegar video I took the chance.
Personally I use the Reegar sporadically and I had better results with Claymore, not on power based classes of course, but someone asked to nerf it too.
I just wanted to say persons who play in random lobbies need powerful weapons to compesate the great amount of bad teams. This is expecially true on  several classes more than others. It was just a general statement but it seems I have been misundestood.

Bech was right they'll find anything to complain about... even if they've never had first hand experience... AND if people who have are claiming you don't need the reegar, people REALLY want those guns nerfed.

EDIT: Just to clarify. The line you quoted in Bold were done after have seen the first minutes of your video at about 00:00 my time. So it would have been polite not make polemics on persons who said your video was interesting.

 I'm italian and If I made a not completely correct use of an English word you should appreciate I'm at least able to talk your language. Not offense but I doubt you could the same in my own language. That's why I tend to be over-polite when I deal with different language persons. As I said I posted my reply when I was very tired.

So I may have made a sort of mistake but  I usually blame persons when they make mistakes in my language if I can speak theirs. It's a matter of respect. As I said it's not my intention to be unfriendly or violate the terms of this site.

If you read my posts around BSN you can see I'm usually very friendly, but your reply sounds a little unfriendly. If this is all a misunderstanding, I apologize, too.

No issue, then. I just saw your topic after about 5 threads on "nerf this, nerf that" and I posted my, let's call it ,"vent".

It was not a polemic with your use of the Reegar in the video, I assure it.
Just to make it more clear: I didn't want to say  "You used the Reegar, then you are a bad player".

Still don't have it. But I've been playing the multi again lately, got the Vorcha Sentinel and Quarian Engineer (Male). I've been loving them both. Of course, the Cerberus Vanguard was my 2nd most anticipated class out of the dlc, but whatever, I'll take what I can get.
