I'm torn between Human or Elf mage and human noble rogue for my first play through. I'd like to play a slightly sinister elf-mage who's motivation in life is to reclaim his races lost magic. Or a human mage who is afraid of his own power.

Id easily stick an arrow through the heart of any mage, regardless of skills or armour. As we have been discussing in our Rouge's Den, you cant cast a spell at what you cant see, and by the time you do see us (IF YOU DO) it will be to late

lol

It's truly fun to see how your enemies fall before your spells and..also walking bomb and virulent walking bomb... they're totally up for it.

I'm gonna try to run heavy on buffs and debuffs my first run through. Hopefully I'll be able to cripple them down enough to make it work.

oh, and MAGES FTW

Well a Rogue can't reach out and TORCH someone. Mage can. So Full On Firepower.
And i'm looking forward to be an evil mage. I hope that Bioware made it possible to enjoy the game even being a power thirsty evil son of a mage.

We can kill our enemies and our friends at the same time! It's just so...so...efficient!

except for the slight necessity of your "friends" to protect your pitiful little spell spitter

Rogues can handled thier own "the rogue who runs away, will live to see another day"

"the mage who runs gets bristled with arrows from behind"

Friendships are quick and fleeting. A reanimated corpse is forever.

There is only power and what one can achieve with it. Nothing else matters.

heheh I plan on taking on blood magic and I haven't decided on a second... maybe arcane warrior or spirit hlr. All depends on whether shapeshifting restricts spell use.

So, what's my chances for a Battlemage? I'd like to don heavy armor, wield a sword and spew magic at people.

You can go arcane warrior but I don't know if they can equip heavy armor or just light/leather.

But I'll probably start as a healer and end up an arcane warrior.

I like to watch the evil creatures freeze and shatter. But one of my mages will be a healer.

Ahh, so very true. I cant argue that point, and corpses feel no pain

So.....

Kill the Re-animator ;)

mages rule, but warriors too. rogues are just people who sneak round your back and try to stab you, but miss, and you kill them with a single stirke :)

lol, i think it is great that there is this "division" between the mages and rogues. Obviously the rogues could sneak into the Mage towers and assisinate everyone in their sleep, while the mages could....

uh.....

Im not sure

As opposed to mages out there that can be capable of acting like 4 year olds in discipline? Posted Image Don't judge a profession by it's black sheep. Real rogues don't miss an open back when they get one. Posted Image

Magic & might are all cool, but skill & cunning is respect worthy as well. All 3 archetypes are good in their own way. Though that doesn't mean the fighting should end. It's too fun to stop, as long as we keep it civil & avoid getting the buggers moderated outta us. Posted Image

Edit: After I post, it's one of my posting habits to reread stuff later on that i've posted before to see if it still looks good from a different mindset as a form of quality control. I've reread my post I posted here yesterday, & mulled it over for a bit, & came to the conclusion that it might be possible for it to be perceived as a bit creepy, (& corny) thus getting a red light in quality. So i've decided to fail my own reply & self-moderated my post. Posted Image

With that said, Marionetten, with all due respect, ya went kinda far too. Your post is also creepy, & disrespectful. Posted Image But my attempt at a slick response kinda went wrong, so i'm not pretending to be innocent either. Posted Image

I'm a novice at posting, but i'm trying to do well at it. Posted Image
